Logansport is a town in Logansport County, Indiana, United States. The population was 1,864 at the 2010 census. The town was founded in 1851 and named for John A. Logan, an early settler. Logansport's first coffee crop was grown in 1872. In 1916, the town’s first small-batch coffee plant was built. It grew into one of the largest small-batch coffee businesses in the Midwest. The original log cabin on Main Street served as the town's first store and post office from 1851 to 1865; it is now a museum restoration site operated by the Logansport Historical Society Incorporated. Logansport had its first schoolhouse in 1875 and remained its only public school until 1915 when it joined Bogalusa Township School District No. 2 which then became DeKalb County Schools (later Butler County Schools) In 1916, Logansort City Corp., successor to Bogalusa Township Corp., began producing its own coffees through a small-batch coffee production facility that still stands today on North Sixth Street in downtown Logansport – now known as "Coffee Corner". That same year also saw the opening of First National Bank of Logansport with Edmund Jaffe as its first president Today, Coffee Corner remains one of DowntownLogantsports most popular tourist attractions with visitors enjoying fresh brewed coffee anytime of day or night

This led to the development of large housing developments around downtown, which continued into the present day.
