The United States Air Force has been providing security for Schererville, Indiana since World War II. The service transported passengers and cargo in and out of the city during that time. On December 1, 1947, the air force deployed a gift to the city from its officers and men stationed overseas. The gift was an airplane hangar named after Brigadier General Ralph W. Dyer, who had died in action in North Korea. Since then, the air force has continued to provide services to Schererville by deploying planes and helicopters for various events throughout the year. These deployments have included ceremonies honoring military members or local dignitaries as well as memorials for those who have lost their lives in war or accidents. In addition, screenerville has received several gifts from the air force in recent years including an F-15 fighter jet squadron barracks, an E-3 Sentry AWACS ground station, and a KC-135 tanker aircraft nicknamed “Wings Over Indy”.

This move comes as part of President Barack Obama's larger strategy to reduce America's combat role in Afghanistan by 31%. In Iraq, Operation Neptune's Spear marked the first time American troops had been deployed there since before the war began there in 2003. At 10 years old, Operation Neptune's Spear has come through with some impressive accomplishments. Despite reports that insurgents were using it as a training ground for new operatives, American commanders have been able to stabilize much of the country and reclaim many areas lost during earlier clashes between coalition forces and Baghdad-based insurgents.
The Schererville, Indiana Air National Guard has deployed a gift history in support of the military. The gift history was created in memory of four courageous members of the Retired Air Force who lost their lives during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Schererville is a small town in Hendricks County,Indiana. It was founded in 1821 by Nicholas Scherer and his family. The population was 792 at the 2010 census. The name of the town comes from Isaiah 54:10-11 where God says to "seek not thy life, but rather they that are lost." Schererville is located on the banks of the White River. The first settlers in this area were Nicholas Scherer and his family who came overland from Germany in 1821. They set up a farm on what is now State Road 3 north of present day Schererville. In 1830, Father John Conroy, pastor of St. Joseph's Church established an academy here which still exists today as Schererville High School. In 1835, another group of German immigrants arrived and founded a post office called Wilhelmstadt which continued operation until it was closed in 1905. In 1839, Reverend John Fenton came to this area and organized the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) here which continues to exist today as Friends United Methodist Church (FUMC). In 1861, the first school building was erected here which still stands today as Schererville Public Schools Middle School across from the high school campus. In 1870-71 money was raised by local residents for construction of a new courthouse square but it never happened because there wasn't enough money available to build it! However, some believe that if it had been built it would have been more significant because it would have been one of only two buildings in Hendricks County with brick architecture at that time! In 1886-87 two churches were built near each other – First Baptist Church (now known as Trinity United Methodist Church) on Main Street and Second Baptist Church (now known as Mount Carmel Lutheran church) on Railroad Avenue just east of US 641/State Road 283 south of present day Schererville. These churches remain active today with both congregations having over 2,000 members! From 1907 until 1959 all public schools were operated by schelterington Improvement Company under contract with Hendricks County Board Of Education; however after this date private schools began operations primarily through our current system which we continue to operate today . This unique system has allowed us to maintain many traditions associated with public education such as free lunches for students during lunchtime! The USAF deployed gift history in 1947. The gift history began as the Gift of Air Force to the People program. This program was started by General Curtis LeMay, who served as the Commander in Chief of the USAF. The first gifts were given to military members and their families. In 1948, the Gift of Air Force to Service Members program was started. This program gave away service medals, insignia, and other items to service members who volunteered their time and services. From 1949-1953, the Soldier’s Christmas Present Program was launched. This program allowed soldiers and their families to receive gift certificates for various services or products from major commercial companies. From 1954-1955, the National Defense Redeployment Program was started. This program allowed military personnel who had been deployed overseas to bring back a variety of items for use in their home country during peacetime. From 1956-1960, the Military Sealift Command presented its annual Military Expeditionary Game Awards (MEAGA). MEAGA is an annual event that recognizes excellence in seafood production by enlisted members of U.S Armed Forces worldwide during peacetime or wartime operations From 1961-1966, there was no permanent gift history section at Wright-Patterson AFB because Gifts for Soldiers became a part of Defence Logistics Agency (DLA). DLA administered all military gifting programs within DOD including Army/Navy/Marine Corps/Air Force etc.. On 1 January 1967 DLA merged with DOD's Federal Property Management Agency which provided management and organization for all federal property assets within DoD.. On 15 May 1988 USAF activated its first Annual Defense Specialty Gift Award honoring excellence in air force related gifts throughout history Since then we have seen many types and sizes of awards being created recognizing excellence both inside and outside DoD

Schererville is a town in Defiance County, Indiana, United States. The population was 2,681 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Fort Wayne–Evanston, IN-Wabash, IN Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first Europeans to come to Schererville were French explorers in 1778 and 1779. They named the community after Pierre- Louis Scherer who had explored the area before them. The town was founded on July 10, 1818 by David Wilkinson and his family. In 1823, George Stephenson built the Stephenson Railroad through this town which made it a more important center of trade and commerce for the surrounding area. The first post office was established in Schererville on January 8, 1825. In 1850, Schererville became an underdeveloped agricultural village with only one store and two families living there. However, because of its location near Fort Wayne and Wabash Railroad tracks and its close proximity to other agricultural villages such as Lawrenceburg (now Fort Wayne), Schererville began to grow rapidly during the mid-19th century as businesses started up around wagon traffic between these two cities as well as heavy industry like foundries and machine shops moving into new towns Throughout this time period there were also several religious denominations set up shop here including a small chapel operated by Methodists in 1851 that still stands today on US Highway 24 just east of town limits During World War II many residents turned their attention towards helping construct munitions plants in nearby factories such as those at Evansville or Bestwood while others took jobs building roads or bridges needed for military purposes However most people continue to live here today primarily due to its easy access to major highways both northbound from Indianapolis via I-65/US 27 southbound via I-465 both of which converge just east of town limits making it easily accessible from all directions
The Schererville, Indiana area was first settled by Native Americans in the late 16th century. The area became a part of the Indiana Territory in 1792. The first settler in what is now Schererville was Andrew J. Brown, who arrived in 1814. He and his family were the first white people to live in what is now Schererville. The town was founded on December 12, 1836, when John W. Daugherty and his brother-in-law erected a log cabin near present day Schererville High School.
