Upon their return home in 1945, they were re-designated as the 101st Airborne Division and assigned togement at Fort Worth Army Center where they remained until 1949 when they were transferred to Fort Riley Army Medical Center at here location. In 1951, they were once again re-designated as the 101st Infantry Division and assigned to duty withthe 4th Brigade Combat Team ofthe 5th Armored Division at Fort Knox Army Base where they remain until present day.
