Pittsburg, Kansas is a small town located in Robinson County, Kansas. The population was 1,895 at the 2010 census. Pittsburg is part of the Wichita metropolitan area. The first settler in Pittsburg was James H. Watson who arrived on July 14, 1868. Mr. Watson and his family were the first to live in what would become Pittsburg. He built a cabin and named it "Watson's Cabin". In 1870, John Cope and his family arrived from Illinois and started a store in what is now the south side of town. They also built a log cabin which still stands today as part of the Corporate Park complex. In 1872, Isaac Wolk founded an agricultural enterprise which became known as the Wolk farmsteads operation. This enterprise produced about $25 thousand worth of crops per year for local farmers and ranchers during its peak years around 1900-1910. In 1916, John Fenton bought Wolk farmsteads from Isaac Wolk for $10 thousand dollars cash which made him one of the largest landholders in Pittsburg at that time. In 1922, Jens Jacobsen moved to Pittsburg from Missouri with his wife Bertha and three children after purchasing 380 acres (146 hectares) of land east of town along Ulysses Road for $3 000 cash from Arent Laddiebaugh II within days of purchase! From then until he passed away in 1984 Jens conducted day-to-day operations of both businesses untilankathouse@aol dot com where he directed all aspects regarding restaurant design and construction management including facility expansion/ renovation project coordination; menu development; lead kitchen cook; event coordinator; marketing & public relations specialist After Jens' death we continued operations under name 'Jacobsen's Runtime'. We currently occupy over 25 acres (11 hectares) bordering Olathe borough limits across 4th Street northeast to Interstate 435 just west off I-435 South including 3 separate buildings used for various purposes such as office space complete with internet access inside building lobby/entertainment hall on main floor retail space totaling approx 675 sq ft (56 m2); 2 mobile homes - both leased out year round by private operators - attached garage adjacent to building lobby on lower level overlooking downtown skyline while all other exterior features remain unchanged since 1987!
