When the United States entered World War I in April 1917, the Owensboro Manufacturing Company was one of many companies that responded to the call for arms. The company had been founded in 1892 by John H. Owens and his son Charles W. Owens and rapidly became a leading producer of rifles, artillery pieces and munitions. In 1915, J.H.O.'s grandson, Harry Fenton Owens III, joined the company as an executive vice president and general manager. Harry's father had also been an important figure in early production at the company; he organized the plant into two divisions (the Rifle Division and Ammunition Division) and supervised production for numerous branches of government in Kentucky and Tennessee. In December 1917, when America declared war on Germany, Harry Fenton Owens III succeeded his father as CEO of Owensboro Manufacturing Company. With war looming large on all fronts, Harry quickly developed new strategies to increase sales both within the company and outside it. One such strategy was to establish a marketing department focused exclusively on selling ammunition to troops fighting abroad. Another move was to build a new plant specifically designed for producing tanks – this time located adjacent to an existing munitions factory in Bowling Green (Kentucky). This facility would become known as "The Tank Plant." With full-time production capabilities established at both plants, Harry quickly increased output when hostilities began to escalate throughout Europe in March 1918. More than 2 million rounds were produced during World War I from these two facilities alone; aside from Austria-Hungary which produced no weapons during this period due to their neutrality pledge signed before WWI began), America churned out more military hardware than any other country combined! And with it came some very special gifts for its servicemen – including items like Trench Guns (which were imported from France) and Machine Guns (which arrived directly from Germany). Owensboro is a town in Butler County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 9,579 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Butler County. Owensboro was founded in 1814 by Captain John Covington and his family. The town was named for General Andrew Jackson, who had died in 1777.
Since its inception, the military has been deployed in many different ways. From small militias to large armies, the military has always been a part of society. Some people might say that the military is just as present today as it ever was, and others might say that there are more deployments now than ever before. It all comes down to who you ask- those who have experienced deployments or those who just talk about them endlessly. Here are five examples of how the militarization of society has played out in various ways: 1) The deployment of troops to conflicts overseas has been on an increase since 9/11. As recently as 2005, there were only 1,000 U.S. troops stationed in Afghanistan; by 2016, this number had ballooned to over 100,000 soldiers (and civilians). This increased presence has led to increased Costs for both sides- both militarily and financially. For example, between2005 and 2016 alone, NATO spent $5 billion dollars training Afghan forces while America spent only $3 billion (excluding costs associated with war crimes). Additionally, the increasing use of technology in warfare means that airstrikes can be done from long distances away which previously required deploying ground forces into conflict- making these types of deployments even more expensive. 2) The deployment of drones has also become increasingly popular within the military community- with over 50 countries currently using some sort of drone variant either domestically or abroad (in addition to units from other nations such as Australia and Canada). This fast advancement comes at a time when unmanned vehicles are already used extensively by police departments across the United States without any public outcry or criticism from lawmakers (or anyone else interested in legislating against this technology). 3) With so many wars happening around the world and countries being drawn into conflict through their proxies (e.g., Syria), it's no surprise that there is a high demand for weaponry specifically designed for battlefield use - including sniper rifles and machine guns that can fire continuously for extended periods of time (which makes them ideal for assassination missions or fighting against insurgents inside enemy territory). 4) There is an ongoing trend within society towards consumerism - where instead of thinking about what we could do together to make a difference (& helping our local community), we focus on buying things & complaining about everything else online/offline (= “not living”). 5) In recent years there have been numerous reports highlighting how social media sites like Instagram & Facebook have become tools used by service members in order To post selfies with their servicemen/women friends during active duty operations or giveaways related to their unit/campaigns... This type of behavior goes beyond mere “military brags” but becomes something much more sinister given that these platforms offer Soldiers access to highly sensitive personal information about other service members which could then be usedagainst them if they're caught spreading information regarding their unit/operation outsideofthe soldier's direct control... Overall, it seems clear that militarization OFsociety enters into multiple forms& scales& affects different individuals at different levels& temperatures& timescannot be stopped without significant societal change

Owensboro, Kentucky is located in the Marshall County area of southern Kentucky. The town was founded in 1802 by John Owens and his family. It became a major center for cotton farming, cattle ranching, and lumber production during the late 19th century. In 1939, Owensboro was designated as the capital of Hardin County. The city has since become an important cultural and economic center in the region. John Owens is considered one ofKentucky's most significant figures in its history. He was born in 1795 in what is now Hawkinsville, Virginia to a family of Welsh immigrants who had come to America a few years earlier. John worked on his father's farm until he turned 16, when he moved to Owensboro with his parents to make their new home. There John began learning how to farm and trade goods with other local farmers. He also learned about how to build homes and businesses from scratch and developed an interest in politics and government service that would serve him well later on in life. In 1802, John married Rebecca Johnson, daughter of Drury Johnson Sr., one of the first white men to settle at what is now Lexington (then part of Clay County). The couple raised five children: Rebecca (baptized Rebecca), Isaac (Isiah), James (James), Lucy (Lydia) and Sarah Jane- all grown adults by 1814 when they removed permanently from their original home near Lexington eastward into Hardin County where they founded what would become Owensboro proper on December 20th that year according to their journal entry originally written October 13th but never published due evidently to prohibition laws then extant readmitting only English speaking residents not under God’s protection thereby excluding Irish Catholics which were then considerable majority of population within county limits adjoining Knoxville even though Buchanan had been elected President & General Assemblyman for that district November 3rd 1800 & reelected January 10th 1801); also census data available online at least six males over age 25 living on own property & four females so enumerated thereon free negroes hired out as domestic servants providing necessary subsistence for families including two daughters taught school hereunder; boundary line between Hardin & Knox Counties running northeasterly thence easterly through this Township thence down said Township line [sic] along WallenRun [sic] River [or Fork] thereof South side being included therein boundaries being hereby forever treasured by us Esqrs’d together with all rights appertaining thereto; also accessed online at http://www4lesbianhistory1010609a1f6e2c8fd9ac675fe/the-ozzersboroughexperience/.
