Coffee became a popular pastime for the couple and they started selling coffee from their home on Bellefontaine Avenue. In 1992, the Goudreaus opened a second store on Nagle Street in Pineville. The store quickly became known for its fresh, Cannonball-style coffee beans.
Pineville is a small town in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, United States. The population was 5,851 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Baton Rouge metropolitan area. Pineville was founded by French colonists in 1765 as "Village du Pines". In 1814, it became a parish. The post office called Pineville was established in 1824 and remained in operation until 1959. The community of Pineville began to grow rapidly after Hurricane Andrew struck on August 20, 1988. Many residents left their homes to rebuild or evacuate following the storm. On October 8, 1988, the first business opened in Pineville since the storm: A convenience store operated by Bill Gaston and his brother-in-law Jeff Shuler with two gas pumps and a few items of food for sale. A senior citizens' center followed soon afterward with help from the city of Baton Rouge's Human Resources Development Department. In early 1989, Baptist University organized an agricultural fair which drew over 100 exhibitors from throughout southeastern Louisiana and Arkansas who came to sell their goods at $5 per item or less. This event helped spur development within Pineville as local farmers offered their products for sale at lower prices than those available from large retailers nearby

However, the history of gourmet coffee begins with two men who were determined to bring this type of beverage to a wider audience. In 1847, Giovanni Peroni started importing beans from Ethiopia so he could create his own unique blend. The following year he opened the first gourmet coffee shop in Rome. This was an ambitious venture as at that time Italian cafes did not serve Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf-type beverages like they do today. However, Peroni’s success paved the way for future roasters and espresso bars across Europe that would continue to serve gourmet coffee until the early 21st century. The first time we tasted gourmet coffee was at a friend’s house one day in 1984 when I was 10 years old. After trying out different cafes in Rome I finally found my new home when I moved back home to Milano in 1992 after working for two years as an office administrator in Milanese banks

Pineville is a small town in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, United States. The population was 1,463 at the 2010 census. It is part of the New Orleans-Metairie-Bogalusa Micropolitan Statistical Area. Pineville was founded in 1853 by John Denton and his brother James Tabor as a trading post on the current site of Pineville Lake near present-day Bogalusa. The first store in town was built by Elisha Parsons in 1855. In 1860, David Hogg opened the first post office in Pineville. The community rapidly grew as a result of its location and commerce; during the late 19th century and early 20th century it became known for its fruit crops and lumber exports. By 1920, Pineville had reached its peak population with over 2,000 people living there. However, during World War II many residents decided to evacuate due to aerial bombings and strategic bombing raids that landed near their townsite; within months most of the community had been destroyed or damaged by firebombing raids which killed more than 100 people. After the war ended, pinevillians began to return, but their numbers dwindled as new arrivals replaced those who had left during wartime grunge
