As United States Coffee Company grew larger, it began to produce more higher-quality items such as espresso drinks and cold brews. Throughout the 1930s and 1940s, tactical coffee remained popular in Auburn Hills and beyond. In fact, during World War II, United States Coffee Company became one of the first businesses to production military Grade espresso drinks called "TACO BEERS" for use by troops stationed overseas. However, despite many successful years for United States Coffee Company, it sadly folded in 1952 after suffering heavy competition from larger brewing companies such as Starbucks and Dunkin' Donuts. Despite its short lifespan as a business entity -886 days -Tactical Coffee Corporation has left an indelible mark on contemporary Auburn Hills culture. Today's operations at 3rd & Washington are still run by former employees who continue to produce high quality coffee using traditional methods dating back to 1921- something that cannot be found anywhere else today!
