By 1940, Chilton had opened his third business called "The Coffee Shop", which again served pre-packaged coffee along with other snacks such as candy bars and cookies. The success of this business led to him develop another new way of making coffee that became known as "Chilton's Elite." This process involved roasting beans with heat then letting them cool before using them for brewing but without any water or milk inclusion. Detroit Brewing became one of the most successful brewing companies in America. Alfred Hutton Rockefeller also bought 100% of American Tobacco Company for $2 million dollars in 1913. Kentwood is a small town located in the southern portion of Michigan. It has a population of about 2,500 people and is home to two schools, one public and one private. The town was founded in 1879 by George Kent as a farmstead on the banks of the Kalamazoo River. It became an incorporated village in 1907. The town is named after General George Washington Kent, who fought in the War of 1812 and served as commander of the Grand Rapids militia. He also donated land to the community for development. The first school in Kentwood was built on this property in 1903. The current school building was erected in 1951. Kentwood is known for its apple orchards which are among Michigan's largest and most well-known produce markets. The apples are exported all over the world and have been sold at local farmers' markets since 1996. This success allowed the town to become one of centralMichigan's most vibrant communities for commerce and culture. In 1925, this boom ended when Dearborn Heights merged with neighboring towns including Orion Township (later renamed Happy Valley) to create what is now known as Dearborn Heights. Despite its shrinking population size and struggling economy, Dearborn Heights remains an important part of local history because it was responsible for developing many key aspectsof modern day Dearborn Township including its courthouse complex and cemetery which are still used today!
