The city of Marquette, Michigan is located in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and is part of the Grand Rapids-Wyoming metropolitan area. The population was 34,593 as of 2010. The city is one of the smaller cities in Michigan and has a population density of just over 1,000 people per square mile. The first Europeans to arrive in what is now Marquette were French traders and missionaries who came looking for religious and trade opportunities in the area during the 17th century. In 1815, the United States purchased land from the government of Canada for $10,000. This land would later become known as Marquette University. In 1834, an act was passed by the Michigan General Assembly that allowed for two settlements within Territorial Michigan: one on each side of Huron River. The town on the east side became known as “Marquette” while that on the west side became “Wyoming” after Wyoming Territory was created from parts of Ontario and Minnesota. In 1851, Marquette incorporated as a village under state law with a population of 100 individuals. For many years it functioned more like a farmstead than a town with only limited services available to its residents outside farming or ranching activities. However, starting in about 1910 there began to be large-scale development with new housing developments being built along main streets such as Main Street North and State Street South while also adding new businesses such as banks and stores along US-36 (now I-94). A major event which took place during this time was when Detroit Tigers pitcher Al Kaline made his debut against rival college team maize country school Stroudsburg (now Butler) at Comerica Park on July 4th, 1911 setting off an uproar among some fans who felt Kaline should have been given more credit due to his high school education rather than coming from poverty ridden rural areas like maize country schools did at that time!

As the world's favorite coffee lover, it's no surprise that coffee has been around for centuries. The first coffee beans were roasted in Sumatra in the 6th century BC. Coffee was also mentioned in ancient Greece and Rome. A few hundred years ago, Abyssinia, a country located in Africa, started to grow coffee bushes. This gave rise to the first espresso machine ever built – an Italian design – which was used by Carlo Pezzullo in 1884. The Dutch began to import coffee from Arabia about 1660 AD. One of the earliest European settlers to America brought back beans from Holland and rotted them before exporting them to Massachusetts Bay Colony (now New England). By 1790, Dutch traders had reached California and tasted their new crop for the first time. They shipped some of their dried beans back home where they were brewed into instant coffee known as "churchill." In 1795-96, French traders landed at San Francisco with news of rich chests of woodchips containing pure bean seeds indigenous to South America that they called "mahogany." Some believe that thisInformation may have led to France becoming the first nation on earthto produce its own Coffee! In 1837-38 shortly after his arrival as Governor of California George Cohan discovered two small patches of wild Arabica beans near Siskiyou Valley - these became known as "Kilimanjaro" because they resembled Mount Kilimanjaro (pictured above). Upon tasting this unusual cup of Joe he knew there must be more out there - so he set out exploring and soon founded what would become one of North America's most successful coffeemakers – The Cafeteria Corporation Limited (CCC) in 1916 with a single plantation near Yosemite National Park - making Koffee King our very own!

The artisan coffee industry began in the early 1800s, when coffee beans were ground and sold by small-time farmers. In the 1920s, a group of Frenchmen founded the first modern coffee roasting company in Chicago. This company became known as La Colombe. The first espresso machine was invented in 1938 by Angelo Pezzotta, an Italian engineer who worked for a coffee roasting company called La Colombe.

In the early 1800s, Marquette was one of the most thriving cities in Michigan. It was a center of learning and industry, and its citizens were known for their piety and industriousness. They founded a number of businesses and served as founders or donors to many important institutions in the state. The city's fortunes waxed and waned over the years, but it remains an interesting example of what can happen when a city flourishes on its own merits. Today, Marquette is a popular tourist destination, with plenty of attractions to keep visitors busy for hours on end. The Rayburn House Museum is especially interesting, showcasing artifacts from both Marquette's past and present.

In 1892, the Marquette Agricultural Experiment Station was founded in Marquette by a group of wealthy farmers. The station operated for over fifty years and had a variety of programs which aimed to improve the agricultural industry in Michigan. One of the most important programs run at the station was the Soil Conservation and Domestic Allotment Experiment (SCDAE). This experiment was designed to help farmers maintain their soil quality by testing different farming techniques and practices. It also helped increase production on farms by improving crop yields.
