Woodhaven is a small town in the Michigan Calkins County, located about 10 miles northwest of Grand Rapids. The population was 1,811 at the 2000 census. At that time, it was part of the Saginaw Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town began as a post office on May 5, 1858, and became a village on December 2, 1860. It received its present name from wooded land near the community which had been donated by John Davenport and his wife Esther Ladd. Woodhaven's first store opened in 1865. The original blacksmith shop operated until 1902 when it was replaced by a machine shop. In 1907, Woodhaven constructed its first church which still stands today and is used for services every Sunday morning at 9:00am sharp (). In 1916-1917, Woodhaven erected what is now known as the Josephine School () to accommodate children living within its boundaries who were not schooled elsewhere. As more residents moved into the community, they built additional homes and businesses until there were only six dwellings left in 1937 when prohibition crackdowns led to an increase in crime rates in Michigan; this caused many people to move out of Woodhaven or abandon their properties during these years. In 1951-1952, construction began on what would become known as "The Park" (), later renamed "The Community Park". This $2 million project included 3 acres (1 km²) of open space along with playgrounds and other recreational amenities for students from area schools as well as local artists and musicians who performed at various events throughout the year. The park also served as an incubator for new business ideas before becoming one of Grand Rapids' most popular tourist destinations over the years thanks to its beautiful setting atop hilltop adjacent to Gratiot Riverfront Park (). Today Woodhaven remains one of rural communities most vibrant with active recreation opportunities including two golf courses (the Forest Course & Glencross), tennis courts (both public & private), basketball courts (public & private), baseball diamonds (Public/Private), rowing sheds (Public/Private), 8 horse stalls (& 4 barn buildings,) three football fields (& one soccer field,) new water system installation complete including fluoridation offerings for all wells within walking distance (& much more!), 7 Grain silo completed late fall 2017 - largest single project ever undertaken by this Township!

With each cup of drip coffee purchased from Starbucks, students received about 120 milliliters (mL) of caffeinated goodness. This provided them with approximately 12 cups per day in order toreach their daily recommended intake of caffeine. The popularity and convenience of drip coffee continued to grow over time as people began using it for different purposes beyond simply drinking coffee. For example, Starbucks now offers iced drinks, smoothies, lattes and other variations thereof containing various levels of nicotine or THC (tetrahydrocannabinol).
