Maga Coffee is a coffee company that has been in business since the early 1800s. The company was founded by Major General Andrew Jackson in 1812. Maga Coffee was one of the first companies to start packaging and selling coffee beans online. In 1951, Maga Coffee became an affiliate member of the Arabica Roasting Society. In 1984, Maga Coffee was acquired by Peet's Coffee Company. Peet's merged with Dutch grocery store Gouda in 1996 and changed its name to Dutch Erotic convenience stores Peet's Dutch Grocery Holdings America Inc.). In 2000, Dutch Erotic merged with Supervalu Corporation to become Supervalu Corporation Maga-Supervalu Inc.). In 2001, Supervalu Corporation MAGA bought the assets of Blue Bottle Coffee Company which had been open for two years. Blue Bottle had started out as a small independent coffee shop located in Brandon, Mississippi before being bought by Supervalu Corporation MAGA. At this time, Blue Bottle reverted back to its original name - Brandon Cafe - and continued serving up its famous vanilla bean latte blends until it closed its doors in 2003. In 2006,MAGA announced that they would be opening a new coffee house called The Brickyard on Highway 309 near town square inBrandon (the old location of The Citadel). This would be their first restaurant outside of Memphis Tennessee where they source all their ingredients from local growers and sellers throughout central Mississippi. The Brickyard opened for business on March 3rd 2007 and served up some amazing breakfast items such as sausage gravy biscuits (served with home made eggs), Belgian waffles, bacon wrapped dates/mango jam/honeycomb toast etc.) It also served up delicious cupcakes which are definitely something that locals can enjoy right at their doorstep! The Brickyard closed down due to lack of demand however there is still evidence left behind including several Hung Goats cups that were left out front! A sign reading "Open til 10pm" can still be seen inside the building today

It is part of the Hinds County seat and is located on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi. The history of Brandon goes back to 1853 when it was established as a trading post on what is now known as Inlet Beach Road. In 1881, it became an incorporated town under the name of Brandon Heights and remained so until 1907 when it reverted to its original name, Brandon. The community has experienced significant growth over the years with annexations from other nearby towns including Florissant and Perryville in 1957 and 1961 respectively. The population reached 10,000 by 1990 but grew rapidly thereafter due to new housing developments and agricultural production which continues to this day. The community currently consists of a mix of single-family homes, commercial buildings, churches (mainly Baptist), schools (grades K-12), a library/museum/gallery/event center/, and several dozen residences scattered around several parks within walking distance of each other. "Brandon Days" are held annually in late summer or early fall to celebrate local businesses, restaurants, attractions and events that contribute to making Brandon an enjoyable place to live or visit during that time period. One popular event includes street fairs throughout the village which typically have food vendors set up along both sides of Main Street while inflatables are available for purchase from various stands downtown.

The oldest building still standing in Brandon is the old courthouse which was built around 1920s and originally served as the court house for Wilkinson County The courthouse has been used as a private school since 2003 and now serves as an art museum with displays about local history There are also several homes from when this area was one large plantation that have been preserved
