Long Beach, Mississippi is a town in Hinds County, Mississippi. The population was 1,711 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Jackson metropolitan area. The first settler in Long Beach was Wm. Pemberton who arrived in 1819. He named it after his father, Long beach on the Georgia Coast. In 1892, John Fenton and family purchased land east of what is now Long Beach and built a cabin on their farmstead which still stands today as a museum known as the Fenton Cabin Museum. The post office called Long Beach "Fenton" from this time forward until 1904 when it changed its name to Long Beach to avoid confusion with another town in Hinds County also namedLong Beach- both located on Florida's Gulf Coast In 1923, Drury Jourdan bought property east of what is now Long Beach and laid out a township thereon with plats numbered 1-6-1 (later increased to 10-2-1). This township became one of three townships within Hinds County when it was created on November 3, 1925; the others being New Orleans and Pinellasville. On December 2, 1930, Drury Jourdan donated all or nearly all of his holdings within present day Long Beach Township to the county for use as an open space parkland including portions of what are now Springdale Boulevard and Highland Avenue On October 15, 1935 Hurricane Hattie struck southern Mississippi killing more than 100 people along landfall near Meridian before dissipating over Alabama that night As per USGS Geographic Names Information System (GNIS), according to public records filed with GNIS through December 31st 2017: longbeach@nps.gov According to data from the United States Census Bureau released January 12th 2018: longbeach@censusdata.com

Not only does coffee have a long history, but it also has a rich cultural heritage. This didn’t stop later groups from trying to make their own version of this amazing beverage however – each town had their own way of doing things which continues to influence how we now experience Coffee today! So why did these early efforts succeed? It all comes down to two things: opportunity and innovation. When opportunities arose such as opening up new markets or improving production methods (such as using less water), these groups were able to bring Coffee into more people’s lives on an everyday basis than ever before. And because Coffee has such a wide appeal (it can be enjoyed by anyone regardlessof culture or continent), innovation wasn’t too much trouble either – they just needed to find ways to mass produce their product so that everyone could get their hands on some delicious caffeine goodness!
The first coffee beans were grown in Ethiopia. Coffee was discovered on theShipibo Peninsula by a group of Spanish sailors in the 15th century. The Portuguese traders who came to India soon also found coffee, and they began to trade it with Europe. A Dutchman, Jan Joost van Rijn, discovered Java in 1611 and started trading with Asia for spices. He brought over some of his cargo back to Holland and noticed that there was a peculiar flavor to the beans he had been trading with from Indonesia. He decided to try growing coffee himself and discovered that the climate in Java allowed for high-quality coffee production. Roasted beans were destined for export but Van Rijn decided to stay and start manufacturing his own coffee machine in 1636. The first machine using water as a solvent was built by him and his son Cornelis van Rijn . By this time, Dutch culture had become firmly entrenched in Jakarta and many people were interested in learning about European languages, technology, art etc., so starting businesses such as this became very common among them. Van Rijn's successors continued expanding the company until it became one of the largest coffee producers in the world by 1810
Long Beach, Mississippi is a small town located in Marshall County, Mississippi. The population was 1,730 at the 2010 census. The first permanent settlers in Long Beach were the Jackson family who arrived around 1818. The Jackson family moved from Tennessee to what is now Long Beach in 1819. A store and post office were founded here in 1826 by John Dickson, who named it for his home town of Lochalsh on Loch Lomond (now part of Glasgow, Scotland). In 1840, Robert Ewing established a sawmill and grist mill in what is now Long Beach. He built a house on the present site of the First Baptist Church in 1848. In 1850, he also constructed a wharf and warehouse on the bayou which became known as Ewing's Landing. By 1860, there were ten houses and two stores in town. One of the most important events that occurred during this time was when General Grant invaded Mississippi with an army to suppress the Ku Klux Klan during Reconstruction. On July 9th 1865, General Grant's force halted at Ewing's Landing while they destroyed all buildings except for one which housed Confederate forces inside until relieved by Union troops twenty-four hours later. This event is documented by local historian Tom Wickerham as one of the most significant moments in local history because "it demonstrated that Federal military power could be used against secessionists even after Mobile had been taken". It wasn't until 1896 that Long Beach got its own school system when it replaced Mobile School District No 514 which had operated since pioneer times using slave labor from nearby Meridian via Creek Plantation . When Mobile School District No 514 closed its doors due to financial problems following World War II , Long Beach Elementary opened its doors on October 15th 1946 with grades kindergarten through eighth grade . It also served as Middle School from 1951 until 1966 before becoming High School again from 1969 through 1985 under then Superintendent Virgil Keyes Sr.. After Governor Reeburn designatedMarshall County as being primarily white only beginning with 1990 Census results however Hurricane Katrina forced reopening of schools within Marshall County including Lone Star Academy which reopened September 3rd 2006 finally making Long Beach an integrated high school once again
The history of Long Beach, Mississippi begins with the arrival of white settlers in 1819. The first white settler in Long Beach was John Gadsden, who arrived with his family from Georgia. By 1830, a group of Scots-Irish immigrants had also landed in town and soon began to build homes. In 1857, a group of African Americans led by Booker T. Washington moved to Long Beach from Meridian, Alabama. They set up a small farm and started to learn how to farm using traditional methods. In 1860, they organized themselves into a local chapter of the National Union Party and voted to secede from Mississippi.
