The Sedalia Naval Ship Museum is a naval ship museum located in the city of Sedalia, Missouri. It was founded in 1895 by Rear Admiral John S. Blair and Captain Augustus Fitch. The Naval Ship Museum is home to USS Constitution (N-5), USS Constitution (N-6), USS Constitution (N-7), USS Constitution (N-8), USS United StatesSedalia (SSBN 584) and HMCS Queen Elizabeth II. The museum also has a library, which contains over 1,500 naval ship books andreworthily available for research. USS Constitution was the first navy ship to be commissioned into service in the U.S., on December 12, 1797 at Norfolk, Virginia by President George Washington as part of the First National Navy after America's independence from Great Britain. She served throughout the American Revolution until she was transferred to England in 1801 as part of an effort to protect American merchant vessels during that time period of revolution. In 1805 she sailed back to America and participated in what is known as "the Chesapeake Expedition" under Commodore James Ketchum against British forces off Baltimore Harbor before joining General Robert Ewing's force besieging Yorktown during the siege of Yorktown on October 14th, 1807 - one day prior to Battleship Yorktown becoming a part of history with its own article written about it here: Battlefields Of Yorktown: Union And Confederate Ships Bayoneted

Sedalia, Missouri is a small town in the Ozarks of central Missouri. The population was 1,868 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Sedalia-Harrison County Micropolitan Statistical Area. The town was founded in 1836 by General James K. Polk and his family as a frontier post on the banks of the River Bluffs. In 1839, when Sedalia became an incorporated city, it had a population of just over 200 people. The first mayor was John Gentry. In 1865, during the American Civil War, Sedalia formed a Union cavalry regiment and served in Edwin M. Stanton's army as part of General Robert Ewing's brigade which fought in what is called "the Battle for Lewisville" (February 3-4). After the war Sedalia grew rapidly due to its strategic location between Springfield, Missouri and Hannibal, MO and its many manufacturing mills which provided jobs for locals and exported goods to nearby states such as Kansas City and St Louis. The city annexed two adjacent towns: Hulbert in 1907 and Florissant in 1912; both were named after local businessmen or politicians who had funded their incorporation drives or donated land for development purposes: Hulbert because he owned most of downtown; Florissant because Judge Edward A. Florissant donated most of east side streets from Harrison to Market Streets (now 15th Street) within walking distance of his home on Philadelphia Avenue). During prohibition era (1912- 1933), alcohol sales decreased markedly while prostitution increased (+350% since 1920) thanks to organized crime gangs that operated out of various businesses throughout town such as speakeasies and brothels located near key intersections like 16th Street northbound/westbound US 160/Missouri Route 66 exit 4A (now I-435)and 14th Street southbound/northbound US 160/Missouri Route 66 exit 2B). In 1933 state law passed withstood federal challenge allowing liquor stores open at all hours statewide including 5 p.m.–1 a.m.; this caused quite some consternation among residents who saw this change not only as another tax increase but also an encroachment on their personal privacy resulting in several riots over the next few years culminating with Mayor Jessup issuing a public apology later that year after complaints from business owners about being harassed by police during raids conducted pursuant to state law enforcement regulations designed solely to enforce Prohibition

Sedalia, Missouri is a small town in Sedalia County, Missouri, United States. The population was 1,865 at the 2010 census. The town is named for General James H. Sedalia and his family who settled there in 1827. The first post office was established in 1831 in the town of Woodsville. The area that now Sedalia was part of what is now Lafayette County when it was organized on February 14, 1800. When Lafayette County was divided into three parts on December 15, 1821 – by then it included most of present-day Sedalia County – the western half of Lafayette County went to Sedalia and the eastern half to Hillsboro. In 1836, both sedentary men and farmers began moving westward from east central Illinois to take up land grants near where they would live and work until they were driven out by settlers from Kansas City in that year's Brown Revolution effort to form a new state called Kansas Territory ( predecessor to Kansas City). In 1840, General James H. Sedalia became one of over 160 people associated with the successful organization known as "The Petticoat Convention" which aimed to create a new government for all Ulysses S. Grant's Creek Nation Indians including those living on the Shawnee Reservation east of Topeka—a move that helped make Kansas Territory a reality just two years later on November 16th when General Grant signed Executive Order 1296 creating Indian Territory (the present-day Oklahoma territory). WhenKansas Territory became admitted into the Union as Nebraska on April 6th 1861 following its admission through an act of Congress known as Lincoln's Overthrow Bill—southern Nebraskans saw their chance for entry into what had been hitherto considered only a northern bastion with Nebraskan immigrants being welcome regardless of race or color while northerners viewed Indian Territory as open country accessible only to those white Anglo-Saxon Protestants willing to invest capital and labor therein; many southern farmers did exactly that becoming today's residents of Sedalia and neighboring Hillsborotown while others chose instead either not to cross the Great Plains or else try their hand at ranching/ agriculture here something few did since buffaloidae could travel great distances across open country before drying up during warm weather months leading Todays Wichita State University located just southwest of downtown makes perfect sense within this larger context...
