Town And Country is a small town in St. Francois County, Missouri, United States. The population was 1,812 at the 2010 census. It is approximately 20 miles (31 km) northeast of Kansas City and the county seat of St. Francois County. The community was founded in 1857 by two brothers, Simon and Ebenezer Towne. The first post office was established in 1859 and the name was changed to Towne in 1865. In 1907, the town had one store and no residents when it merged with neighboring Kingston to become an incorporated village. In 1925, Township-Wide Telephone Service was established within Town And Country so that individuals could have telephone service without having to move to another township or city. In 1957, the Missouri State Highway Patrol Station opened within the limits of Town And Country which continues to be used today as a law enforcement resource for the community. Since its establishment as an incorporated village in 1907, Town And Country has grown rapidly due to its location on I-435 just north of downtown Kansas City and its easy access to job opportunities in nearby cities including Kansas City proper andKansas City Airport

In 1916, he opened the first coffee house in Seattle and quickly became a leading figure in the city's coffee scene. By 1920, Javits had opened two more coffee shops—one in Chicago and one in Los Angeles—and was by now well-known throughout North America. The early days of espresso were also very important for coffee culture. The process of making espresso required Brewers' Yeast (BZ) to be added to water at just about 18 degrees Celsius, which made it difficult for people outside of Italy or Spain to enjoy this high-quality beverage. However, over time BZ has become an essential part of any modern espresso machine because it gives café-goers a rich flavor and makes espresso even smoother on demand. In addition to its impact on coffee culture, Hendrik Javits's company also helped spur new interest in farming beans and roasting them properly. In 1921, he patented a process for roast quality control that remains largely unchanged today. This process involved weighting beans according to their desired level of softness so that they would not turn into mush when roasted; then profiling them using a portable analyzer before being packed into each bagel or cupola (a large metal container used to store coffeepots). Town and Country was first settled by the O'Neill family in 1827. The town grew rapidly due to the production of whiskey in the area. In 1838, the O'Neill family sold their business to the Curtis brothers. The Curtis brothers operated a distillery until it closed in 1865. The town experienced a slow decline from its peak during World War II when production shifted to other areas. However, it regained some of its former popularity following the war. Town and Country experienced a resurgence in popularity after the opening of nearby Rolla's Main Street shopping center in 2009.
