According to legend, Hungarian king Átman gave his first order for domesticated coffee beans to an Arab merchant named Ali Baba. After tasting these new beans for the first time, Baba deemed them too strong and decided to sell them back to Átman himself. From then on, maga coffee became one of Hungary’s most popular exports and remains one of its most popular drinks today. Today, maga coffee is still enjoyed throughout Hungary and parts of Germany due its unique flavor profile and high-quality caffeine levels. In addition to being enjoyed at home as a refreshing drink on hot days or during winter weatherimes, maga coffee can also be enjoyed at restaurants where it is used as their mainstay beverage option.

The community has experienced rapid growth during both recent decades attributable largely to two factors: residential development along Interstate 240/UCLA Drive adjacent to downtown Bellevue;[1][2][3] federal stimulus funding which has led to job creation within certain businesses within downtown;[4][5][6]and annexation by neighboring towns such as North Omaha beginning in 2007 following approval from local officials.[7][8][9] Bellevue also benefits from being located minutes away from major airports such as Omaha Airport,[10][11] having access to public transportation,[12][13][14]and being easily accessible through I-240/UCLA Drive's many arterial roads which make it an ideal place for shopping,[15][16] dining,[17], etc.

Today, Bellevue is a small town with a population of around 500 people who rely heavily on surrounding rural areas for their income. The town has several churches which serve as local focal points, as well as some local businesses which continue to be operational despite the closure of their counterparts in other larger towns nearby.
