The wing was stationed untilactivated on 15 Sep 1957 when it was replaced by the 4th Bombardment Wing which had moved from Barksdale AF Base, Louisiana. In 1960, Wright-Patterson AFB became part of the USAF and It also activated 4 new wings: 5th Bombardment Wing (later renamed 8th Bombardment Wing), 11th Bombardment Wing (later redesignated 26th Bombardment Wing), 133d Fighter Group (later redesignated 351st Fighter Wing) and 3593d Test and Evaluation Squadron (later redesignated 3593d Weapons Development Squadron). These units were all equipped with F-15E/F Eagle fighter jets and were responsible for developing weapons systems for US Strategic Forces around the world. Boulder City, Nevada is a small town located in Clark County, Nevada. The population was 5,644 at the 2010 census. The economy of Boulder City is based on tourism and agriculture. The first people to settled in what is now Boulder City were the Paiute Indians. They built their own small villages along the Arroyo Seco River until they were forced out of the area by white traders in 1848. In 1853, miners discovered gold near present-day Carson City and began to arrive in droves for the find. By 1860, there were over 1,000 residents living in Boulder City. In 1862, local trader Wm Hales established a trading post at what is now called Old Fort Donelson on the Colorado River north of downtown Boulder City. Over time, many other businesses and settlements were established around this fort including: Fort Bridger (1867), Aurora (1868), Black Hawk Hill (1870), Green Valley Ranch (1871), White Sands Mine (1872). By 1880, all but two of these settlements had been destroyed by fire or social unrest caused by economic competition from Las Vegas and Indian Springs. However, Boulder City remained an important location due to its strategic location on both sides of the Colorado River as well as its easy access to transportation including stagecoaches and wagon trains which transported goods upriver to market throughout much of Nevada Territory during this period. In 1888, miner George Jenson purchased 3 acres within present-day Downtown BoulderCity for $10 per acre which he used as his personal property until his death in 1912. This purchase set off a series of land transactions that would see most of central Denver annexed into Central District Boise County according to territorial laws passed at that time; however Mineral Belt land east of Interstate 80 remained with Central District Boise County under ownership of individual citizens until 1959 when it was transferred back to Mexican American Land Administration control following statehood ceremonies held in Reno NV.)
