The Mesquite National Guard was activated on November 3, 1912. The first unit to be activated was the 159th Infantry Regiment. At the time it was the only infantry regiment in Nevada.
Mesquite is a small town in southeastern Nevada, United States. The population was 1,834 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Las Vegas metropolitan area and is located about 25 miles (40 km) east of downtown Las Vegas. The town was founded in 1907 by farmers who bought land from the Ute people. The name Mesquite comes from an Apache word meaning "place where they found firewood." The first post office was established in 1909. In 1925, mesquite became a city with its own government and mayor. In 1951, mesquite became one of six towns in the new Clark County Territory when it was created from parts of what were then Southern Nevada and eastern Washoe County. It has remained a part of that county since then. Mesquite's economy revolves around agriculture and ranching as well as tourism which includes events like the Grand National Finals Horse Show (Grand National Finals Day), which takes place at the state fairgrounds every year; and Auto Parts & Equipment show (APEX). Mesquite also has some smaller businesses such as a grain elevator, convenience store, dentist, truck stop, restaurant, pharmacy and services company called Sunrise Services Incorporated which provides water treatment to residents in unincorporated areas of Clark County including Mesquite adjacent to I-15 exit 224A near Fort Worth Federal Airport on behalf of Republic Water District #1LN
Many people have been asking about the history of the National Guard. This is a topic that has been debated for many years, but there is still much to learn about this important institution. As one of the first national organizations in the United States, the National Guard had a long and tumultuous history. The first national guard units were organized on December 1, 1795. At first they were called “the Militia of America” and were used only to supplement militia forces. However, by 1801, most states had formed their own militias and so it was necessary for the National Guard to become an independent organization. The organization changed its name again in 1814 to reflect its new role – now it was called the U.S. Volunteers instead of Militia of America (MIA). The volunteers played an important role during both World War I and World War II. During World War I, they helped lead major campaigns such as The Overland Expedition and The Western Front. In World War II, they served in many theaters including Normandy, The Battle of Okinawa and The Pacific Ocean battle against Japan’s Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN). While some aspects of military life remained unchanged during these wars – like being able to call up troops at any time – other aspects changed dramatically due to technological advances at that time. For example, radios became common within units in 1945 and so commanders could communicate with each other directly rather than relying on correspondence courses or oral histories from soldiers who had died earlier in conflict. Today, there are over 12 million active duty members across all 50 stateside territories along with over 350 reserve components providing an estimated 2 million hours per year service . Some observers have argued that this large volunteer force may be too easily diverted from more pressing issues if left unchecked . However , given that Ready Reserve personnel are available 24/7 whether needed or not , it seems likely that even if there is potential for misuse , National Guard members will still perform their duties flawlessly . Additionally , as technology continues to develop and new opportunities arise for volunteerism (e.g., social media), it is likely that more state legislatures will decide to form their own militias as well because volunteeringism feels like a great way to give back without having any risk attached

Mesquite, Nevada is a small town in the southern part of the U.S. state of Nevada that is the home to Mesquite High School and other local schools. The population was 2,856 at the 2010 census. It is included in Clark County, which has a population of 951,000 as of its 2010 census estimate. The first Europeans to visit Mesquite were Spanish missionaries who established a mission in 1769 on what are now mesquite hills east of town. By 1847 there were over 100 people living in Mesquite and it had a post office that year. In 1864 the United States acquiredado Rancho Las Animas (now part of Nye County) east of town and began building a railroad through it; this made Mesquite an important community with railroads coming through every few years to stock up on goods before heading back out into the desert. The original courthouse built by founder James Waddell was destroyed by fire in 1902 but was replaced by another soon afterwards. In 1907 mesquite's first high school opened after being founded as Starr High School in 1905 by Mrs. Annie Fenton and Drs. Haddon Crouch and Clarence Davenport; it eventually became Mesquite High School when it merged with nearby Chaparral High School in 2002). In 1925 meskeley's first store opened which still stands today (it closed circa 2005). Prior to World War II most citizens worked for Southern Pacific Railroad or mining companies such as Eastern Railway or Goldfield Mines; however, during World War II many residents turned their Attention towards providing munitions production for the war effort including lead smelting at nearby Leadville National Monument Mesquite experienced some significant growth during the early 21st century due largely to oil development outside its boundaries related to various operations such as Sinopec NV' s Gulf struck oil project west of town beginning around 2006-2007 while also energy production going on at numerous sites within town limits like Anaconda Copper Mine southwest corner where dozens workers are currently employedvarious services provided including water main replacement services insurance claims processing construction management engineering environmental consulting real estate development sonoran Desert Research Institute near city limits occasional concerts/shows summer art festivals etc all while maintaining typical small-town lifestyle
Mesquite was founded in 1847 by Don Carlos Mesquite and his father, Manuel. The town is located on the eastern edge of the Nevada Test Site, which is home to the United States Air Force’s Nevada Test and Research Center. The original population of Mesquite was about 100 people.
