Concord, NH is a small town located in Hampshire County, New Hampshire. The population was 1,651 at the 2000 census. Concord is an agricultural center and the epicenter of the Granite State's wine industry. It also has a strong manufacturing presence with many local companies producing items such as clothing, plastics and medical equipment. Concord's rich history begins with its incorporation as a village on November 3rd, 1837 by three farmers who named it after Concord, Massachusetts. Today Concord remains a small town with close-knit community ties that continue to provide support for one another. The first store in Concord opened in 1839 and was called the "Bicycle Store". It became known for its excellent bicycles which were popular among locals and tourists alike. The store closed in 1903 but reopened under new ownership five years later and continued to serve as a central stop for shoppers until it closed again in 1926. In 1954, the original post office was moved from Manchester to Concord and remain there to this day. In 1916, Dr Samuel Walker establishedWalker Laboratories Ltd., which became one of America's leading pharmaceutical manufacturers during World War I due to its innovative development of antibiotics. The company produced more than 2 million pills per day during World War I; this amount would have been equivalent to about 20% of all medications used in that war! In addition to their pharmacological products, Walker Laboratories also manufactured tools and equipment used by physicians such as syringes and needles; these products helped increase accuracyand efficiency while reducingurgical trauma risk throughout 1918 alone! After WWI ended, Walker Laboratories merged with other pharmaceutical giants including Merck & Co., Incorporated (now Pfizer) and Becton Dickinson & Company (now Allergan). During this time period, Concord emerged as one of America's most thriving industrial centers based off its production capabilities both within the Pharmaceutical field as well as other industries such as automobiles and appliances! By 1959 however, when Contex Psychiatric Health Products began production at nearby Hanover Street Hospital (later Hanover Medical Center), all attention turned back towards Concord! From then until present day - countless businesses have operated within or adjacent to Contex Psychiatric Health Products! This success story can be largely credited to two individuals: Dr Samuel Walker himself who initially envisioned what would become Contex Psychiatric Health Products – something unique in psychiatric health products at the time; AND his son David Smith who led marketing efforts culminating in product approvals from FDA(the Food & Drug Administration). Today’s business climate is decidedly different however; healthcare costs are soaring while profits continue trending downward amidst multiple sclerosis treatments being picked apart by insurance companies looking for cost savings opportunities! Despite these challenges though – large employers like GEICO are constantly recruiting young people into their organization thanks especiallyto Obamacare’s Cadillac Tax which has already levied significant fines against some of America’s largest insurers like Blue Cross/Blue Shieldof New England)! The Coast Guard has a long and varied history of providing service to the public. One of the earliest organizations within the Coast Guard was the Marine Patrol, which was created on November 1, 1790. The Marine Patrol consisted of two boats, one assigned to each mile of shoreline. These patrols were supplemented by coastal artillery batteries in 1802. In 1851, the first airboat was commissioned and used to transport sick and wounded soldiers from New York City to Staten Island. On July 29, 1917, Congress passed an act that established the Coast Guard as an independent agency with jurisdiction over all waters within 12 nautical miles (23 km) of shorelines in America’s Northeast Atlantic Ocean area; this included both coasts of Maine and New England as well as parts of Labrador and Quebec. The first station built for the Coast Guard was at Hampton Roads near Norfolk, Virginia; this became known as “Hampshire Station” after its commander. Since its inception, the Coast Guard has seen a number of significant changes including organizational growth along with technological advancements such as radar tracking systems and sonar technology.
