Concord, New Hampshire is a town in Concord County, New Hampshire, United States. The population was 7,868 at the 2010 census. It lies on the eastern edge of the state and is within the Connecticut Valley region. The land that makes up Concord was first settled by English colonists in 1623 as an agricultural village called Andover. In 1794, when Concord became a town under state law, it voted to name its main street after George Washington (the then-President of the United States). The current name comes from a speech given by John Adams in 1795 in which he said "This place will be called Concord because in this town we found our true home." The area now comprising Concord had been settled by Native Americans for many centuries before any Europeans came to explore or settle here. One such explorer was Captain John Smith who explored what is now New Hampshire during his trip along the coast of North America in 1609-1610. He named part of present-day Massachusetts Bay Colony "Concord" after his hometown of Canterbury England. In 1814, when General Thomas Gage led British forces into New Hampshire as part of their victory over American rebels at Saratoga Lake, Concord was one of several towns across New England destroyed as punishment for supporting independence from Great Britain. After Gage's defeat and retreat northward through New England, much Of what remains today of these communities were rebuilt primarily brick and mortar with no connection to their former selves other than through incorporation into larger municipalities over time; this process began with Boston before spreading throughout most northeastern states during the 19th century until finally culminating with incorporation into Manchester, NH in 1959. Today's economy largely depends on farming and manufacturing industries located outside the town limits which include textiles (mainly jeans), automobile parts and chemicals; however there are also small businesses situated within walking distance or just down the street from most residents including two yoga studios and a barbershop among others!

Concord, New Hampshire is a small town in western New Hampshire, United States. It was chartered as a town on April 15, 1768 and named for the ancient city of Concord in Massachusetts. The population was 721 at the 2000 census. The name "Concord" comes from an English name meaning "peace," which has been adopted by many of the towns in New England. The first post office in Concord was established on December 14, 1814. The first store in Concord was established on December 17, 1814. In 1827, the first mill was built in Concord and it still exists today as a private business entity. In 1865, the first courthouse in New Hampshire opened in Concord. For over 125 years, the Old South Meeting House has been home to the Concord Congregational Church where ministers from throughout New England meet to worship and discuss issues facing their congregations. In 1924-25, two ambitious young men started a new paper industry called Manchester News Company which became one of America's leading media companies with its own newsroom and printing presses located just east of downtown Manchester on Meeting Street (now part of Interstate 84). While Manchester News Company enjoyed some success during its early years – including several Pulitzer Prizes – it ultimately failed to make any significant waves within American publishing until 1972 when it merged with Time-Life Incorporated to create Hearst Corporation
