In the early 1990s, the Bagshaw family sold the business to a group of investors who renamed it Gourmets Coffee & Tea. They remained operational until 2000 when they merged with another local coffee shop, Blue Bottle Coffee, which made them one of the largest independent coffee businesses in New Hampshire.

In 119 BC, Roman general Pompey defeated Antiochus Epiphanes at Zorba’s Ferry and took control of most of Syria and Lebanese land east of the River Euphrates. However, Augustus decided to give all Syrian lands back to Antiochus Epiphanes two years later because he felt that Lebanon was too powerful an ally against Rome. Despite this decision by Augustus, many Syrians still considered themselves Lebanese because they spoke similar languages and shared some cultural similarities with their compatriots in southern France and Anatolia (now Turkey). Under Ottoman rule (1453-1916), Lebanese people living east of Mount Carmel were forced into concentration camps known as “Ain al-Hawa” or “The Hills” due to their opposition to Abdul Hamid II's reforms which aimed to modernize Iraq
