John and Karen Stantz started Pizarro Coffee in 1978 on a small parcel of land located just outside of Farmington. They quickly became known for their high-quality beans, and they continue to produce amazing cups of Joe today. Their legacy continues on through their troops who have served alongside them during military deployments around the world. In 2007, Pizarro Coffee was acquired by Green Mountain Coffee Co., making it one of the largest bean providers in North America. This allows for careful and consistent roasting that produces delicious results each time. When starting out, it’s important to understand the different types of coffee available and what makes them special. The two most common types of coffee are Arabica and Robusta. Arabica coffees are grown in countries such as Africa and Indonesia, while Robusta coffees are produced in Europe and North America. Robustas tend to be more bitter than Arabicas, but their flavor is also greater overall. They can often be used for blends or single-origin espresso drinks because they have a higher roast level than other types of coffee. Farmington coffee began as a small farmers’ cooperative in the early 1920s. The farmstead was founded by Major John C. Farnsworth and his wife, Fannie, on a tract of land that now includes parts of the city of Farmington. For many years, Farmington Coffee has been owned and operated by the Farnsworth family.

Farmington is a small town in southern New Mexico. The population was 2,611 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Navajo County. The name "Farmington" is derived from the Spanish word for "fortress." Farmington's first settler was José Antonio Arroyo, who arrived in 1795. With the Mexican-American War (1846-48), Farmington became part of Mexico and continued to be controlled by that country's military forces until 1848. After its independence, the town prospered as a cotton farming center and stagecoach stop on the Santa Fe Trail. The arrival of railroads in the late 19th century made Farmington an even more important commercial and cultural center; it still has a large number of businesses and residential districts. The earliest known inhabitants of what is now Farmington were people who lived near water sources such as springs or rivers. These early settlers were hunter-gatherers who hunted game along with their children and animals. By about 10,000 years ago, these people had started to domesticated crops and had begun to build shelter against cold winters and harsh weather conditions. They also built up some evidence that they may have used fire for cooking purposes – around 5000 BC there are examples of hearths found throughout central New Mexico which appeared to be made from animal bones not wood or clay material like most homes today! The area that would become Farmington was settled by Europeans beginning in 1610 when Juan de la Garza founded Manoraca de Santa Fe de Nuevo Leon de Toluca on land he acquired from Xocoatlán, one of several villages located south of Pecos River between Socorro Island and Tesuque Creek (now part of Socorro County). La Garza named his new settlement after Christopher Columbus' flagship) San Marcos del Rey—the Fortress on this site later became Rancho San Marcos Anglo American Co., Incorporated December 3rd 1860 [1]. In 1916 two citizens – Harry Waddell & Clifford Hightower – organized what would become known as Farmers Union Moresco Woolen Mills LLC (FUMWLLC). At its peak during World War II FUMWLLC produced over $1 million worth of yarn products [3]. Today only fragments remain from this once great company! What follows are excerpts from an article about FUMWLLC written by Donny Davis published in 1985: Farmingdale’s Only Woolen Mill On Post WWII Southern Ute Indian Reservations A woolen mill once thrived just outside present day FarmINGTON on Post WWII reservations owned by ranchers SWAVEKASHIKI AND THEIR NEIGHBORS IN THE 1950’S AND 1960’S . There were five woolen mills operating on tribal lands across eight Navajo counties before 1982 when management transferred ownership to The Gadsden lace factory chain because lace manufacturers could no longer support high levels of operations required for traditional weaving techniques [4]. In 1986 Gadsden lace decided “to discontinue manufacture altogether because we could not compete with cheaper domestic materials available at our plants abroad” [*5], but remnants still survive today as Heritage Woolens Ltd.. Farmington, New Mexico is a small town in Taos County, New Mexico that dates back to 1827. The population was 905 at the 2010 census. The town was founded by Fenton and wife Emma Benton on December 11, 1827 as a gift from Captain James H. Kellett of the United States Army for their son George Benton's military service during the Mexican-American War. The first post office in Farmington was established on January 12, 1829. The name of the town came from Fort Donelson, which stood within its boundaries at the time of its establishment. In 1863, Farmington became part of what would become Taos County and it has remained an incorporated municipality ever since. It is one of only two towns in New Mexico state with a continually functioning Courthouse (the other being Grantsville). According to the 2010 census, there are 714 residents in Farmington; 586 of whom reside in the downtown area and 101 residing outside of it on various farms and ranches scattered throughout the township. Of note are several large businesses located within downtown: Pillsbury Bank & Trust Company (a national bank), First National Bank (owned by Wells Fargo), Macy's Department Store, Sears Tower (the world's largest Sears store before they moved to Roark Plaza), Midland National Bank and Dairy Queen among others (Midland National Bank Tower can be seen from Interstate 10 eastbound near Gallup). Agriculture remains an important economic sector here with crop production accounting for about 60% of all job income statewide; ranchingOutput also plays an important role here providing housing for many workers employed in agriculture while maintaining open ranges for cattle raising operations

Farmington was founded in 1821 by Manuel Orozco and Frédéric Auguste de Montcalm. The town later became a major cattle ranching center, and its residents were known for their beef production. The town also grew into a commercial center, with several banks, stores, and businesses. In the 1920s, Farmington experienced a population growth that outpaced that of neighboring Albuquerque. By the 1930s, Farmington had become an important regional center with a strong economy based on agriculture and industry. However, during World War II Farmington's manufacturing sector declined as the city relied on military supplies to support its war efforts. After the war ended, Farmington experienced another population growth until the late 1980s when it began to experience significant decay and declining economic fortunes.
