The United States Air Force deployed a gift to the people of Babylon, New York in 1967. The gift was an L-3 Communications Aircraft, serial number HS-1A. This Boeing 707 aircraft was leased from the Los Angeles County Airport and was used by the 1st Tactical Aerospace Wing (1 TAW) at Elmendorf AFB, Alaska. The 1st TAW operated out of Elmendorf AFB during the Cold War era and played a critical role in NATO's deterrence against Soviet aggression. The L-3 Aircraft were originally designed as military transport aircraft but were later converted into communication platforms for USAF units operating in Europe and Asia. These aircraft enjoyed high reputation for their performance and reliability. In 1967, when 1 TAW leased this aircraft from LAX, it became one of only two such purchases by the USAF in that year. This decommissioned Boeing 707 had been completely restored to its original condition by Lockheed Martin Aeronautical Systems Inc., a division of LockheedMartin parent company Lockheed Skunk Works Corporation, after being stored at Mojave Air & Space Port since 1984. The restoration process began with removing all documented markings and equipment including any superfluous systems that might have been built onto the plane during its production years. Once all documentation had been removed, inspection revealed that all eight engines were still functional and running on brand new oil! The extensive refurbishment also included repairing most major damage caused by previous owner negligence; many miles of fabric were replaced with high quality Douglas Fir wood paneling while some panels required replacement due to crazing/denting caused by age & use). On October 20th, 2017, HS-1A made its return to service with 1 TAW after more than 25 years languishing in storage! This most recent restoration is significant not just because it marks another return of an old Douglas Aircraft Catalina jet back into active duty but also because this particular aircraft represents an important milestone in USAF aviation history - it is the first L-3 Communications Aircraft ever donated specifically to USAAF usage!

Babylon is a city in the New York metropolitan area and is included within the City of New York. It is the county seat of Kings County, New York. The population was 531,721 at the 2010 census. The name means "city of Babylon." The city was founded by the remains of two ancient Mesopotamian civilizations: Hammurabi's Babylon and Elam's Larsa. They were both cities-states with a complex political system that included a single ruler, an assembly of priests, and military units called brigades. Inhabitants of both cities built great temples to their gods and engaged in commerce with other parts of Mesopotamia and Anatolia. These days, only a small percentage of Babylonians live outside its walls; most are concentrated within its limits. Babylon grew rapidly during the Late Bronze Age (about 1200 BC to 900 BC), reaching its peak as an empire under Nebuchadnezzar II (5th century BC). After his death in 439 BC, it became one of several provinces subject to Alexander the Great's new Macedonian Empire. Babylon fell to Persian rule in 331 BC but regained control following Alexander's death in 323 BC. At times under Seleucid (Syrian) or Ptolemaic rule (206–127 AD), it again lost autonomy until becoming part of Roman Syria in 219 AD. Under Islam it was captured by Muhammad ibn Abdallah al-Mansur on November 29, 765 AH/March 2nd CE at Harran after a siege lasting more than three months; this event marked Babylonia's first submission to Muslim rule as well as her incorporation into Muslim India for about two centuries until she finally fallen to Hinduism around 640 CE
Airforce deployed gift history can trace back to World War II when the United States Air Forces first deployed gifts of air hardware and supplies to allies in Europe. From there, the tradition of air force deployed gifts has continued unabated with each successive generation. Today, the United States Air Force Deployed Gift Program provides a unique and thoughtful way for members of the military and civilian community to show their support during wartime. The program is open to anyone who is stationed in one or more U.S. military bases worldwide, regardless of location or branch of service. The deployment gift program was created in 2003 as an effort to ensure that all members of our military are able to have access to the latest technology and equipment while they are on active duty. The program allows individuals from all branches of service to purchase items such as rifles, artillery systems, helicopters, submarines, aircrafts and more from Specialty Equipment Manufacturers (SEMA). The program is administered by SEMA through its National Sales Coordinator – a position which currently includes Master Sergeant John Fetterman from Seymour Hill AFB in Long Island New York. This individual coordinates sales for all components within the USAF Deployed Gift Program including Component Sales Officers (CSOs), Field Reps (FRs),PO’s (Public Outreach Officers) and other specialists who work with squadron commanders throughout Air Combat Command (ACC) and Air Expeditionary Force (AEF).

In 1814, after the War of 1812 ended, Albany became part of the United States and Babylon continued to be part of that state until 1959. After being an incorporated village for just over half a century, Babylon voted to become a town on November 3rd, 1960. The history of Babylon begins with its founding as a Dutch trading post by Hendrick van Buren and his family in 1724. Over time, other families joined the Buren family including those from Schooneveldt (now Schenectady) who arrived in 1730 and began what would become known as the Van der Linden dynasty. From this point forward, there were several changes to Babylon's landscape; firstly, it began to grow closer to Albany which made trade easier and secondarily due to increased immigration from Europe as well as increasing economic opportunities in America. In 1814, after the war ended and Albany became part of the United States as well as becoming less Protestant-dominated, many people left ancient Netherlands for new opportunities in America than they had experienced during their childhoods or even earlier generations - many choosing Babylon because it offered more opportunity for education than most villages did at that time. This influx led to growth within Babylon although some residents still remained Catholic until around 1930 when all churches inAmerica became Protestant denominations like Baptists or Douglases.(See: History Of The American Ethnic Group "Dutch Americans" For More Information). As development occurred within society throughout America during these years there were corresponding changes also taking place within Babylonia itself; primarily social changes with better transportation making goods available faster then ever before allowed villagers more Opportunities for business ventures both private and public alike along with new technologies like steamboats which made travel between points much faster then ever before possible(See: Electricity Development In America)). With such developments happening outside of traditional spheres such as governance or religion Babylonia found itself constantly under pressure from factors both internal and external including technological advancement but also religious fervor brought about by forces like capitalism or democracy which were seen compete against traditional values/ beliefs within society.(See: Religion And Technology In American Society For A Better Understanding)). At times this pressure lead to violence while at other times it produced results such as cultural change or even emulation among villagers who followed electric vehicles instead of horses(This Is An image Of A Horsedrawn Canal boat Which Was Used To Transport Goods Upstream On The Hudson River). On November 3rd 1960 upon voting by local residents general election results showed that 71%of babylonia citizens approved incorporation into Municipal form - an event now considered an important milestone in town history.( see: Timeline Of Babylonia Incorporation ). Although incorporation happened quickly few issues arose immediately such as disagreements about land use etc.; rather community members worked together smoothly through committees formed specifically for this purpose including one chaired by Mayor John Fenton( See: History Of The Town Of Babylon ). From here on out progress slowed but not stopped completely with decisions being made frequently about things like fire regulation etc.; leading eventuallyto formal government recognition on December 15th 1978 followed by incorporation into City Hall on January 1st 1979.( see: Timelines OF CITY INCORPORATION & OFFICIAL CITY REGISTRATION ) As mentioned earlier many issues still needed approval from various committees prior TO officialincorporation however municipal services ran smoothly thereafter without any major problems(( See: MunicipalityOfBabylonia website FOR MORE INFORMATION)). Although having started off relatively small relative to today's size Babylonia has seen significant growth over time culminating withover 2 million+ inhabitants currently residing therein - making her one of North America's most populous towns surpassing even Philadelphia PA .
