Since the early 1800s, coffee has been a popular beverage in Canandaigua, New York. In addition to its namesake coffee shop - Peet's Coffee - Canandaigua also features two other venerable landmarks in the coffee industry: Dutch Bros. Coffee and Roasters (now Partenope) Coffee Shops. Dutch Bros.' roasting operation is one of America's oldest continuous coffee businesses, dating back to 1853. It was here that founder John Davenport first began marketing his morning espresso beverages. Partenope became a major player in New York City's café landscape after opening its doors in 1922. At first it served as a place for businessmen and women to meet before work or for afternoon tea; soon however, Partenope became an institution known for its fresh roasted coffees from around the world. Operators at Partenope continue to roast their own beans today and serve up unique blends that are enjoyed by both locals and visitors alike.

In Canandaigua, New York, coffee was first roasted in 1795 by Nicholas-Jacques Conte. In 1847, John Jacob Astor started the first commercially successful roasting company in America. In 1912, The Rittenhouse Coffee Company was founded in Philadelphia. The company continued to roast coffee until 1971 when it merged with Peet's Coffee & Tea Corporation.

Canandaigua is a small town in Chemung County, New York, United States. The population was 1,959 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Syracuse–Rochester, NY-New York Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town began as a Dutch settlement in 1624 and became part of Canada in 1783. Canandaigua was first settled by Scots colonists in 1795 and its name derived from the Iroquois word cana (Haudenosaunee meaning "place where there are many trees"). In 1828,CANADA had become an American state and Canandaigua became part of the new county. In 1881, CANADA became one of two counties in NEW YORK STATE formed from parts of TWO other localities - Chemung and Ontario Counties were merged to create this large entity known as NEW YORK METRO COLLEGE DISTRICT No. 2... By 1902, when this area attained city status thru annexation by Rochester - with which it forms present day SYRACUSE-ROChester MUNICIPALITY - the entire west side of Canandaigua had been annexed including all or portions of: Northampton Street (now Genesee Street), Clinton Avenue (now Haverhill Road), Albion Avenue (now Orange Street) and South Main Street (now Elmira Road)... This annexation gave rise to what is now called CANANDIANAIGUA which has about 12 square miles within its limits... Today's village center begins on Albany Boulevard near Indian School Road just south of Route 9/10 with a retail district extending east along Elmira Road to Buffalo Gap Shopping Center on Rte 9/10 just north of Canadiananaigaat’s southern border

The first coffee beans were grown in the region that now includes Ethiopia, and it was only after centuries of hard work that these beans began to be realized as an exquisite drink. At its peak in the 1880s, coffee production in Africa amounted to around 2 million metric tons per year. This level of output would have made fresh roasted coffee one of the world’s most valuable commodities. However, over time this industry has turned into one where smallholders produce the majority of coffee products. This lack of competition has led to lower quality standards for fresh roasted coffee, which in turn has resulted in its downfall as a beverage choice.

Canandaigua is a small town in western New York, adjacent to the town of Rome on the east side of Canandaigua Lake. The population was 5,672 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Buffalo-Niagara Falls, NY Micropolitan Statistical Area. The first Europeans to visit Canandaigua were French traders and missionaries in 1609, who built a trading post there. For many years, Canandaigua served as a stopover on the Erie Canal. In 1824, when Niagara Falls became an international waterway and the canal was converted into a railroad line, Canandaigua became one of its stations along the way. The village grew rapidly during this period and by 1860 had reached its present size. During World War II, Canandaigua was one of several small towns hit hard by bombardments from Japanese forces during their campaign against America's war effort. Many homes were destroyed or damaged; however, most people managed to survive and continue to live here until after 1945. After World War II ended,Canandaigua experienced another growth period as various businesses moved in and new residents started arriving - some from upstate New York City and other parts of New York State; others from Canada and other parts of North America; still others arrived through various channels such as migration or displacement brought about by economic upheavals throughout much of rural America at that time. Today, Canandaiguga has perhaps reached its highest level since before WW2 with over 6200 residents divided among 7 primary schools (3 high schools), 3 churches (with services offered concurrently every day), 2 restaurants/cafes/stores (both open 24/7), 4 bars & clubs (including 2 that are open all night), 3 Masonic Lodges (& 1 temple) - making it one very active community!

Canandaigua is a town in Chenango County, New York, United States. The population was 1,836 at the 2010 census. It is the seat of Chenango County government.
