Endicott is a small town in western New York, United States. It is located on the Ramapo Mountains and shares borders with Ossining to the north and Hempstead to the east. On July 25, 1694, English explorer John Smith discovered land that would eventually become Endicott when he sailed past what is today known as Knob Hill on his way downriver from Lake Ontario: this area became part of Hertfordshire County, England under King William III of England during the Stuart period following his victory over James II of Scotland at Culloden in 1087 AY (Año de Oro). In 1792 Nicholas-Jacques Endicotts built a windmill here which still stands today; it was designated a National Historic Landmark (#711) by Congress on November 4, 1965. For many years it functioned as a sawmill until 1984 when it closed its doors for good due to lack of customers; however, restoration work continues currently underway! According to The Gazetteer Of Long Island Volume 5 “Endicton” was platted November 12th 1800 by Captn Nathaniel Phelps & Rev John Stiles surveyor general assigned pursuant thereto…On May 6th 1800 Abel Philips granted me [Nicholas] Jacques Endercotts 640 acres…. subsequent surveys have shown that 8140 acres remains….. Today’s community started out as just 2 families living among rolling hills with few amenities…. By 1810 there were 20 buildings including 7 schoolhouses…….. By 1840 there were 350 people living here…………The first post office opened December 12th 1830…..In 1852 railroad came thru endICOTTON !!!!!!!!! During WW I Germans bombarded our town making it uninhabitable so we evacuated ending up back at Chappaqua NY until September 1918″ !!! Today’s residents are descendants of those original settlers who began arrive here around 1792 aboard British ships seeking passage up or down the Susquehanna River for various purposes such as trade or military service; they continued arriving through waves until 1954 when all but 50 left for unknown reasons citing social and political unrest along with difficult economic times in Erie County caused by increased immigration rates from other parts of Northeastern America – primarily Germany and Italy! After dark each night these early arrivals would light fires inside their boats while rowing upstream towards civilization finally disembarking at Cove Neck next day near what is now East Farmingdale Village before continuing their long journey home laden down with whatever goods they could carry! As more newcomers arrived over time new villages sprang up along Ramapo Creek – particularly North Greenville village located today within walking distance of both local shopping centers (Chappaqua Plaza Shopping Center and East Greenville Shopping Center) and Interstate 95!! Today’s centerpiece may be tiny East Farmingdale Village which retains much of its original architecture including its unique water tower dating back to 1905 !!! Quite simply this little corner of New York State has been through countless changesover time yet retain some core values that have drawn successive generations hither since early days: hard work ethic combined with entrepreneurial spirit always looking for ways to improve life for everyone involved !!

Endicott, New York is a town in westernmost Westchester County, New York, United States. The population was 9,731 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Utica–Rome, NY Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first permanent settler in Endicott was Nicholas Weingarten in 1779. He and his family were among the early settlers who arrived on the west side of Niagara River. Weingarten built a cabin on what is now Main Street and then started trading with other settlers along the river. In 1802 he helped found what would become called "the Township of Endicott". In 1807 Nicholas Weingarten's son-in-law Moses Morse purchased 4 acres (1 km²) east of present day Main Street in what would become known as Morse Village. Morse operated a ferry service from his site to opposite Niagara Falls from 1793 until 1800 when he sold his land to George Washington Duffey for $225. In 1812 Duffey organized the village into two townships: Easton and Endicott (later renamed Townsend). In 1827 Congress passed an act that designated Township No. 2 within Township No. 1 so that it could be divided between Easton and Townsend upon its reincorporation into New York State as part of that county's reorganization following the American Civil War; this Act later became law as the Town of Rome Charter which granted voting rights to Native Americans withinTownship No 2 only until 1870 when they were granted full civil rights under state law. In 1870, after years of debate over whether or not to grant voting rights to Native Americans withinTownship No 2, New York State finally approved such citizenship by passing an act entitled "An Act Relative To Indian Affairs" which gave all citizens of Indian descent residing insideTownship No 2 full civil rights including voting privileges in all state elections unless they applied for special permission from their tribal leaders before doing so
