Lancaster, New York is a small town in Erie County, New York, United States. The population was 3,642 at the 2010 census. The town was founded in 1795 by General George Clinton and named for him. It originally consisted of just a few settlers and was considered part of the Susquehanna valley. In 1814, Lancaster received its first school building and began to grow. By 1830, it had a post office and four stores. The town's growth continued through the 19th century until it peaked with a population of 10,000 in 1916. However, as industries shifted from agriculture to manufacturing during the 20th century, Lancaster lost much of its economic significance. Its population declined again until 2000 when it reached 3,642 people

He had seen her action at sea during the War of 1812. 3) The USS Constitution class battleship (1901-1920), which were designed by John F Kennedy and built under his presidency, was donated by Senator Edward M Flynn in 1920. She served in World War II and the Korean War before being decommissioned in 1972. She is now on display at Newport News Shipbuilding & Dry Dock Museum. Amenities included fireplaces, torpedo launchers, an armory, a chapel, and more! 4) The USS Enterprise (1937-1945), which served during World War II as both an escort carrier and aircraft carrier, was gifted to the Navy by General Douglas MacArthur on December 12th 1945 after he became Commander in Chief United States Forces In Europe. 5) The USS Constellation Class Naval Destroyer (LPD(N)) - also known as “The Big E” -was gifted to the Navy on October 6th 1976 by President Gerald Ford following problems with other navy destroyer classes that were becoming too powerful for older ships such as this one!

Lancaster, New York is a town in Erie County, New York, United States. The population was 5,898 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Buffalo–Niagara Falls Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first Europeans to visit Lancaster were French Jesuit missionaries in 1614-1615. The site of the present town was chosen by George Washington and his party on their march from Valley Forge to Trenton on November 12th, 1776 during the American Revolution. Lancaster was founded by General James Wilkinson in 1791 as an outgrowth of his efforts to secure subsistence for his troops during the American Revolutionary War. His land grant included what is now Lancaster and portions of Northumberland and Monroe counties. He named it after himself, Sir John Lancaster (1721-1799). In 1802, Colonel David Fenton erected a sawmill on the Little Canandaigua River near where he had Purchase land grants west of Utica; this mill continued production until 1908 when it was replaced by a modern one located just east of downtown Lancaster. In 1827-28 Captain Elijah Snow built a five-story brick building on Main Street which served as the first courthouse in Lancaster County; this building still stands today and is used as office space for various government entities such as the county clerk's office and court House Annexes #1 & 2. In 1851 Samuel Sizer opened a grocery store at 256 Elmira Road which became one ofthe largest retail stores in western New York City before closing its doors in 1957. General Electric Company designed and built an aluminum smelting plant adjacent to Sizer's store which began operations in 1951 - later becoming known as GE Power Plant No 4 (now DEC). A post office called Lancaster was established at this location on July 9th, 1852; it remained open until 1865 when it was moved to Utica because that city had become too populous for its original square footage! On February 14th 1861 Colonel Ebenezer Wills laid down two miles wide railroad track from Albion Junction northeastward through rural Clinton Township into what are now Westmoreland County and Scranton Township - this line became known as Erie Railroad No 710 - construction started shortly afterwards but ultimately failed due to lack of money! This provides us with our earliest reference to locomotives being used within our community! Two years later on May 10th 1862 Western Union Telegraph Company established communication between Lancasterburgh/Utica and Allentown/Wilkesbarre! railroad station employment grew rapidly here following this new service addition - goods traffic increased from 2 cars per day up to 20 by 1870! By 1880 there were over 100 businesses operating within 1 mile radius of all four corners of town including mills, groceries, hotels etc.; amusements also flourished here with stages running repeatedly every day throughout much of these years bringing people into our small community for fun!. Unfortunately however like so many other communities across America during these times some major milestones occurred causing businesseswindowless or converted into storage units thereby eliminating most direct contact with customers - something we can only imagine happened here during those difficult decades!! With advancements made both technologically & economically over subsequent decades many local residents chose not to follow suit& remain central business districts rather than try & build their own mini metropolis!!! However despite all these good times one could never help but feel that great strides have been made since then especially given how quickly technological advances have changed life generallyin terms Of technology !! locality has seen growth rates more than 10% EVERY YEAR FOR THE LAST TWO DECADES!! even surpassing some larger cities Thousand Oaks CA AND BUFFALO NY!!!!! Just last year they completed $25 million dollar projectto renovate much needed fire protection services housed within old high school location!!!! Our Town would be incomplete WITHOUT OUR LOCAL COUNCILMEMBER JAMES KENNEDY!!!!!!!!
