Joe's Cafeteria served breakfast, lunch, and dinner until it closed its doors in 1991 after 50 years of service! Today, there is still a small cafe insideJoe's Cafeteria that serves morning tea or iced coffees! In 1957, mineola resident Dick Kloetz started selling roasted beans direct from his farm near Central Park! Dick Kloetz' roast shop quickly became one of the most popular businesses in Mineola for decades! His roasted beans are now available all across New York State! When European settlers arrived in North America during the 1600s, they brought their own brewing methods with them which led to their unique flavor profiles for coffee - rich earthy flavors came from Portugal's Madeira Islands while hisky blackberry tastes came from England's island Isles Of Scilly! Coffee continued being traded between Europeans and Asians untilcontact ended in 1814 when Japan took over most of East Asia! After contact ended, many new flavors developed including innovations like AeroPress roasting which gives Ethiopian Yirgacheffe its characteristic bitterness!

The Town of Mineola includes all or portions of five villages: Minesdale, Clinton Hill Village/West Side, East Side/North Side/South Side streets within their limits; also parts of Baldwinsville and Chili Hill Villages east of I-90 and west of State Route 11 between exits 3A-5B; Asbury Park; Berryessa; Canandaigua Asbury Park had 8331 residents according to the 2010 census but this figure may have been reduced due to annexation by Syracuse
Mineola was founded in 1786 by Nicholas-Jacques du Pont, a French aristocrat. In 1814, it became the capital of the Towns of Mineola and North Hempstead. The town was abandoned in 1847 due to an economic depression. It re-emerged as a small community in the 1880s. The first post office in Mineola opened on May 14, 1887. The first store was called "The Gilded Age Store." Mineola's first mayor was Averill Harriman. In 1916, Mineola annexed the adjacent towns of East Farmingdale and South Farmingdale. That same year,Mineola's population reached 10,000 people for the first time. In 1951, Mineola annexed Hamlet Beach which had been part of Great Neck since 1898. In 1960, Mineola annexes Babylon which had been part of Islip since 1901
