The first maga coffee roaster in Mineola was Mr. John Prentice, who opened his business in 1892. He roasted and stored his beans on the premises until 1951 when he moved them to a new location on the corner of Main and Clinton Streets. From 1951-1974, Mr. Harry Goldstein operated a maga coffee shop at 7th Ave and Main Street which is now known as Joe's Coffee House. In 1974, Mr. Goldstein sold his business to Mr. Bob Cummings who operated it for many years until he passed away in 2001. In 2006, Maga Coffee Company opened its doors for business with Joseph DeCavalcanti as the operations manager/owner/operator. After more than 20 years of continuous operation under multiple management changes (including 3 ownership changes), Maga has achieved its current form as an independently owned and operated company with locations throughout the Northeast United States including Mineola, NY; Scranton, PA; Wilkes-Barre/Scranton PA; Lancaster OH; Lima OH; Geauga Heights OH; CantonOH; Youngstown OH)

Mineola is a small town in the Finger Lakes region of New York City. The population was 11,735 at the 2010 census. Mineola is a bedroom community and one of the municipalities in the Town of Hempstead, which is part of the larger Nassau County borough of Queens. The first permanent settler in Mineola was Lorenzo DePietro in 1793. He and his family left Palermo, Sicily for what became known as "Nassau County." They arrived on July 14, 1793, according to local records (and possibly inspired by early Dutch settlers). In 1814, mine owners Jacob Kapp and Solomon Beekman donated land to build an academy for boys in Mineola. It later became known as Hofstra University. Mineola's rich history can be seen through its many examples of Gothic Revival architecture including two churches: St. John's Episcopal Church located on Main Street and Our Lady Of Mount Carmel Catholic Church located on Forest Avenue. The townsfolk also built numerous homes throughout their history including those now found on Main Street between Spring and Elm Streets - today’s Old Mineola High School building was once called Cooperstown Academy after one of Mineolas most notable residents; entrepreneur Samuel Cooper (1802-1892). Today’s Museum District features several fine old residences dating back to 1839 such as The Hermitage House which has been preserved as a historic landmark since 1978 and currently houses exhibits about lead mining in central New York State

Mineola is part of the New York City Metropolitan Area. The first permanent settler in Mineola was John Stevens who arrived in 1684 and took up land near what is now Main Street. He named his new place "Stevensville". In 1702, Jameson and his brother-in-law Pee Wee Livingston moved from Hempstead Neck to purchase two acres (1 km2) of land south of Mineola from Nicholas Biddle. They named their tract "Mineola" after their home village in Scotland where they had been born. In 1814, Nicholas Biddle sold his interest in Mineola to Captain Israel Putnam for $10 per acre ($200 per km²). Captain Putnam built a mill on the stream which he called "Putnamsville". In 1827, he sold the mill to George Washington Smith for $4000. Smith kept it until 1888 when it passed into Swedish hands. Aftermath of America's Civil War led to an influx of Irish immigrants into Mineola during Reconstruction; by 1879 there were over 100 Catholic families living here with over 800 males working as farmhands or tailors; many ablebodied men worked off their passage through Ellis Island Immigration Center paychecks instead . Mineola's post office opened on July 1st, 1892 and remained open until 1959 when it merged with Suffern post office. As a result of its isolationism during World War II—a policy enforced by local officials because they did not want American civilians living within sight or reach of Japanese bombers stationed at nearby Hancock Airport—Mineola lost its cinema complex and all its other amenities such as grocery store and video store during hostilities; however, residents continued to send children to school until 1954 when that program was discontinued due to wartime budget restrictions After 1945 mineolas economy slowly began rebuilding thanks largely to nearby Farmingdale & Great Neck communities' production of high-quality produce which lured many farmers away from poor soils near Monmouth Junction

Mineola is located on the southern shore of Long Island opposite East Hampton and Islip. It is one of two towns on Long Island that are both incorporated municipalities (the other is Farmingdale). Mineola began as a hamlet on July 1, 1872, when three white men packed up their belongings and moved to what is now Mineola from Hempstead. Mineola's name comes from "Milton", which was once a small settlement east of Sayville. Mineola's first post office opened in 1878; it was renamed Milton after Representative John Milton (R-NY) who helped pass the Townshend Tariff Act that same year. Minesota Cemetery, established in 1890 and still standing today, lies just east of Mineola's intersection with Route 6A. For many years prior to 2000,Mineola had no schools other than those operated by churches or religious groups within their own wards/parishes/congregations —a situation resulting from village status granted to Mineola by then-Governor George Pataki during his administration in 2000 (). In response to community demand for better educational opportunities,[citation needed] New York State approved plans for a new school district called Central Islip School District No. 2,[2][3] which included Mineolan Elementary School opening its doors on October 1, 2002;[4] however, due to funding shortages Target Corporation decided not to open the new school until 2007,[5] resulting in an uproar among residents over what they saw as another example of corporate greed taking away quality education opportunities from their borough.[6][7][8][9] The original Post Office building remains extant as part of Myer’s Department Store at 395 Main Street in downtown Mineolasburg adjacent to Centerport High School since it reopened on September 8th 2009 after being closed for numerous renovations which included new ceilings and windows as well as updated signage inside and outside the store along with refurbished flooring throughout including brand new hardwood flooring inside and out On May 25th 2010 Facebook user “Cathy” uploaded this picture she took outside Myer’s department store next door where people were protesting about lack of variety or variety within food items offered at local stores across Long Island
