In early 1952 when Project Paperclip was announced by President Truman he ordered all American bomber groups assigned to Ituraly project be renamed “2nd Bombardment Wing” effective December 15th, 1951 because this would be their operational designation during their tour of duty in Japan consistent with Allied Combat Forces Order No 1-1941 which said: “Allied forces will give preference to Japanese citizens who have contributed materially thereto” When first activated 2nd BW consistedof only four squadron: 4 th Bomber Squadron (later redesignated 7 th Bomber Squadron), 5 th Bomber Squadron (later redesignated 11 th Bomber Squadron), 6 th Bomber Squadron (later redesignated 13 th Bomber Squadron), And 7 t Bomber squadron( later redesignased 15 h Bomber squadron). Each unit operated three Boeing B-29 bombers each day except Wednesdays when one squadron operated two planes per day instead due To shortage Of planes In Hawaii! each unit also carried cargo load extra for extended stay In Japan! After first deployment into Japan these units flew missions over Hokkaido area then moved onTo Izu area where they became operational again On October 25 rd 1952 When new Command assumed control Over JAAF From USAAF After Vichy France ceded islands To Japan . All aircraft being flown under this new command Were called “2nd Bombardment Wing/JAAF”effective December 15Th 1952 so Unit name could no longer be confused With original Wings name

Ogdensburg is a town in Monroe County, New York, United States. The population was 1,906 at the 2010 census. The name Ogdensburg is derived from the river Onondaga and its tributaries. The first permanent settler in what would become Ogdensburg was Nicholas Pappenfus who arrived in 1785. In 1804, John Doolittle and his family founded the Doolittle Mill onthe Onondaga River. The mill served as a center for agricultural production until it closed in 1922 due to lack of competition. In 1825, General Anthony Wayne's army fought an engagement near present-day Ogdensburgh which resulted in the death of four American soldiers and the wounding of many others; this event is also known as "The Battle of Monastery Hill". This location became known as "Monastery Hill" because of this battle and subsequent investigation into the incident by general George Washington himself. In 1827, John Browncross erected a home on land that he had donated to the town of Ogdensburg for use as a public school. At that time there were only six schools in Monroe County; two were private academies serving wealthy families while four schools were operated by local officials including one operated by John Browncross himself (later renamed after him).Browncross' donation made up about one-third of what would become Little Falls Township when it was organized platted in 1829. When Browncross died in 1830 without issue, his estate passed to his friend and neighbor James Sisson who donated most of what would become Clinton Township (now Oswego County) including much of Little Falls Township west of Centre Street. After Sisson's death, much property within Clinton Township reverted back to original Buffalo Creek purchase lands via deed or through Purchase rights granted during Indian Removal process ceded by Iroquois Confederacy to US government following Treaty negotiations with Native Americans in 1784 – all Transcaucus territory now included within NY: “All I did for you I received back again” – Daniel Webster

Ogdensburg is a small town in the Niagara Frontier region of New York State, United States. It is located on the southern border of Onondaga County and Erie County. The population was 1,153 at the 2010 census. The first settler in Ogdensburg was John Fitzpatrick in 1785. In 1825, lumber baron James Fenton purchased land in what is now Ogdensburg from the Mohawk tribe and built his mansion there. The town began to grow around this man's estate until it reached its current size by 1870. The town had a post office from 1847 to 1865, when it was moved to Lockport because of railroad construction through that area. In 1892, an important development took place when Work Projects Administration (WPA) employees arrived in Ogdensburg to help with construction on the Buffalo-Niagara Falls Railroad. This event helped spur economic growth in Ogdensburgh and other nearby towns during World War II as more people traveled to work on site for the war effort. During much of its history, Ogdensburgh has been a culturally active community with many cultural events taking place throughout the year including music festivals, art shows, and plays. In recent years however, some aspects of its culture have begun to decline such as attendance at local schools and increased use of online services instead of face-to-face interactions among residents. However, many community members still appreciate their historical roots and feel that they are key parts of their local fabric.
The first European to visit the area was Giovanni da Verrazzano in 1524. The Dutchman Hendrick de Vries, also in 1524, named the site Ogdensburg after his hometown of Ogdensburg, New York. In 1614, the English explorer Johnse Brouwer discovered and named it after a small village in Flanders called Ogdensburgh. The village had no connection with either Verrazzano or Brouwer.
