At that time, Oswego was a small town with limited resources and resources were used to support local businesses. Bob's dedication to quality and sustainability helped him become one of the pioneers in the industry. In 1970, Krizewski partnered up with Harry Connick Jr.'s Chicago Coffee Company and began importing ground coffee from Indonesia. This partnership led to increased sales and acclaim for Oswego's top-quality beans. In 1978, Harry Connick Jr.'s merged his company with Peet's Coffee Inc., which gave Oswego its first true national exposure as a coffee destination. Over time, other larger companies have joined forces with Bob Krizewski and Harry Connick Jr.'s on multiple occasions, creating what is now known as "TheOswego triangle." Today, there are more than 25 independent roasters who contribute to TheOswego triangle's unique flavor profile. The Oswego Coffee Roasters was founded in 1984 by four friends who shared a love of coffee. They started small, serving coffee and pastries from their home. In 1992, they moved to their current location on Main Street in Oswego. The store has been open since then and continues to serve up delicious coffee every day!
Oswego is a town in Oswego County, New York, United States. The population was 1,621 at the 2010 census. The village of Albion is located within the town. The first Europeans to visit this area were French traders in 1614-1615 and Jesuit missionaries in 1618-1619. In 1764 the Connecticut Company founded a post on an armory hill east of present day Albion and named it Fort Stanwix after their founder, Sir George Stanwix. The fort served as a military installation until 1813 when it was abandoned and its garrison removed to Kingston on Hudson. In 1800 there were 9 stores in Oswego with 2 blacksmiths but by 1830 there were only 3 stores with one blacksmith, 3 weavers and 1 tailor. By 1830 agricultural production had increased from 5 acres (2 hectares) of maize per year to 100 acres (40 hectares). Agrarian discontent led to various uprisings against landowners during the American Revolution; these failed because most people could not afford arms or enough food storage space for supplies. During the 1840s new transportation methods made travel more accessible and by 1850 Oswego had 12 residents—5 farmers, 7 mechanics and 4 laborers—and 2 churches: one Congregationalist and one Methodist. Prosperity continued through the late 19th century as manufacturing became increasingly important due to increasing demand for goods exported abroad including leather shoes, hats, cigars and rifles from slavery in Africa. However during World War I output decreased as industry switched from munitions production to civilian products like clothing and rubber products; however again during World War II Oswego’s economy grew significantly thanks to wartime diverted resources like coal being used for aircraft construction instead of munitions manufacture

Oswego, located in the Finger Lakes region of New York State, is a town with a rich history dating back to the early 1800s. The town was founded on April 11, 1785 by Captain John Paulding and his wife, Susannah Orchard. Oswego was named after an Indian word meaning "place where waterfalls appear." It soon became a popular agricultural and commercial center due to its fertile soil and abundance of water resources. The first school in Oswego was built in 1802 by Captains James Stroud and David Ritchie. In 1824, the first post office was established in Oswego. By 1830, there were four churches in Oswego- two Baptist and two Methodist. The population of Oswego grew rapidly during the mid-19th century as new settlers arrived from all over New York State. The population peaked at 959 in 1860 but decreased significantly during the Civil War because of textile production shutdowns in New England. After the war, the population began to grow again as new businesses opened up around Oswego. In 1970, Oswego reached its current estimate of 2,100 residents through annexation by neighboring municipalities. Today,Oswego is a thriving community with many exciting opportunities for cultural exploration including events like Folklife Festival & Art Fairilles each year; Concert Series featuring world-renowned visiting artists every other month; numerous public programs throughout the year including art walks & puppet shows; Winter Carnival which features traditional NY holiday activities such as pizza night; as well as several summer festivals celebrating local cuisine and arts & crafts
Oswego was founded in 1784 by Nicholas Myers and his wife Rachel. It became a town in 1825 and an incorporated village in 1828. The area now called Oswego was first settled by the Iroquois Confederacy. The first permanent white settlers were Nathan sawmill owners Elias Howe and Jeremiah Smith, who arrived from Georgia in 1786. The two men established a mill on the river at what is now downtown Oswego, which soon became one of the largest employers in the town. In 1794, after several years of discussion, the General Assembly decided to make Oswego an incorporated village. On July 1, 1800, John Fenton purchased 2 acres (0.8 km2) east of where present-day Third Street meets the river for $75; this land later became part of downtown Oswego. In 1803, General James Wilkinson ordered all Indian tribes west of Lake Ontario to be destroyed as part of his military campaign against Native Americans known as The Great American Invasion. Most Iroquois living within reach of New York were killed or driven into exile during this time period. Some remaining Indians led by renegade Chief Joseph Brant managed to survive and return to their lands east of Niagara Falls before being pushed out again by Ulysses S Grant’s army a few years later In 1825, when New York State was created from parts of four former British colonies including Albany and Syracuse, Oswego got its own town charter from Governor George Biddle The population growth rate throughout most of the 19th century varied greatly depending on various factors such as immigration rates from Europe and natural increase due to new baby boomers moving into central New York City . However between 1850-1870 there was significant growth with over 20% annual population growth During prohibition era (1912-1933), many businesses closed because they could not compete with alcohol sales generated by speakeasies across state lines Downtown Oswego experienced extensive renovation beginning in 1964 under then Mayor Abraham Beame who touted it as “the city that never crashed” – until he lost office less than a year later On May 15th, 2007 it was announced that former Mayor Rudolph Giuliani had been appointed Chancellor Emeritus at SUNY Purchase School District #14
