Dunn is a small town in North Carolina, United States. The population was 1,557 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Greenville-Spartanburg-Anderson metropolitan area. Dunn is located on the border of Spartanburg County and Pickens County. The town was founded in 1857 by Rev. Drury Dunn and his wife, Sarah Jane Kemper Dunn. In 1865, Mr. & Mrs. John Witherspoon donated land to the town for a cemetery which was completed in 1868.
