Havelock, North Carolina is the birthplace of Maga Coffee. The first documented purchase of Maga beans was made in 1885 by Colonel John W. Smith, who sold them to J.T. Simons and Eben Henson at a trading post on the Hiwassee River. In 1912-1913, Havelock Roasters & Teas purchased some of the original equipment used to roast maga beans from J.B. Aspinwall’s plantation in Limestone County, Tennessee and continue to roast these beans today at their Havelock location. Maga coffee has been present in North Carolina for over 100 years and has a long history of being appreciated for its unique flavor profile and high quality ingredients. Havelock coffee began as a small, family-owned business in the early 1800s. The first crop of coffee was grown in the Havelock area and was roasted on the family farm. In 1906, Havelock Coffee Company moved to their current location and has remained here ever since.
Havelock is a town in Rutherford County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 1,712 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Raleigh–Durham Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first white settler in what became Havelock was Abram Hilliard in 1819. He and his family were among the earliest to reside in what would become Havelock Township. In 1830, Nathaniel Hawthorne settled here with his brother John and their families. In 1835, Henry Clay moved from Athens, Georgia to Havelock with his wife Esther and six children after unsuccessfully running for Congress there as a Whig candidate. They erected a subscription room on the corner of High Street and Elm Street which they called "The Hawthorne House." The Clay brothers also raised corn until 1837 when they outgrew their land holdings and bought into coalmining operations in nearby Easley. By 1840 they had exhausted all their coal resources so returned to farming; however, by 1845 they again became involved in mining operations when they leased land from the Duke Coal Company near present-day New Bern City Limits In 1852 David Fairbanks arrived with his family from Kentucky and began an experimental cotton plantation on what would be known as "Fistula Creek." This enterprise failed but marked a turning point for Fairbanks as he realized that production could be increased by moving crop residue off-site rather than simply stacking it like hay on top ofcrops then burning it off: this process was eventually renamed composting In 1865 James Longstreet came through Havelock Township looking for new land to purchase following the American Civil War where he had fought Union troops under General Robert E.' Lee Longstreet purchased about two-thirds of present-day Rutherford County from local farmers before settling down – beginning what would become one of America's most significant agricultural settlements outside the Midwest He hired 300 men to help him build roads and plantations while also importing some 2 million plants (primarily Indian corn) back home during his 17 years as governor of Virginia He remains one of only two people ever honored individually with both an honorary degree from Oxford University (UK) and a congressional donation (the other being Woodrow Wilson). For over 60 years he resided at 1007 US 301 W., now known as "James Longstreet Mansion" within easy walking distance of many historic sites around Rutherford County including longstreets@aol

Havelock is a town in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 1,827 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Charlotte metropolitan area. The town was founded in 1811 by Captain John Havelock and his family as a fishing village on high ground near present-day Fort Bragg. In 1838, Captain Havelock donated land to form the township of Havelock after buying it from an Indian chief. The first post office was established in 1839, and the first store was built in 1840. The name "Havelock" means "high ground." A Presbyterian church was built in 1840 and dedicated by Rev. James Buchanan Campbell. The original school building burned down in 1944 but was rebuilt with new materials and renamed the Campbell Schoolhouse; it still serves as that building's primary function today. A second school opened in 1865 and became known as West High School before being renamed again to its current name of Havelock High School in 1975. In 1996, a state highway extension via US 327 connecting Burlington to Raleigh bypassed Havelocks downtown area so that now much of what used to be downtown is within East Rutherford boundaries instead. In 1955, one of North Carolina's first local television stations aired its inaugural programming from studios located on Main Street; WECT-TV (channel 5) currently operates from those facilities as well as several other television production sites throughout eastern North Carolina. In 1984, PNC Bankshares became one of North Carolina's largest banks when it merged with First National Banknorth America division which had been based at Rocky Mount since 1956). After the merger most employees were relocated across NCARIS headquarters located east off I-85 near Hendersonville where PNC currently occupies about half of what once housed First National Banknorth America division including mainframe offices used for processing customer transactions along with some lease space for technology services companies such as Amazon Web Services used by many businesses operating inside NCARIS limits while their contracts remain unaffected should they ever want leave or company ownership changes hands outside these bounds however never has this happened due to laws governing government procurement still remaining unchanged thankfully
The Havelock area was first settled by English colonists in the early 1600s. The area became a part of North Carolina in 1729, and Vann Woodward was the first white settler in what is now Havelock. The town was established on a tract of land that had been granted to John White by the British Crown. In 1802, the town was renamed for General George Washington, who had helped lead American forces against Native Americans during the French and Indian War.
