In 1969, Roberto Arboleda opened his own roasting company in High Point, which would become one of the most popular gourmet coffee companies in the world. His beans are still sold today under the name Arboleda Coffee Company. Roberto Arboleda has been behind some of the biggest names in gourmet coffee history – such as Starbucks, Peet's Coffee & Tea, Blue Bottle Coffee Company (now Anheuser-Busch InBev), Dannon Yogurt (formerly Danone) – and he has even started his own travel agency named "Aromatherapy."

High Point is a city in Gastonia, North Carolina, United States. The population was 24,959 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Gaston County. The site of Fort Fisher, an early Scots-Irish military post on the Western border of present day Gastonia and High Point, gave rise to its name as "The Fertile Crescent." It was founded in 1795 by General James Wilkinson as a hunting and fishing village on Roanoke Island. After serving as the capital of North Carolina from 1827 to 1829, High Point became the state's most important commercial center after Raleigh. In 1845 it became the first U.S. city to be incorporated with a special charter that granted it semi-independence from neighboring Cumberland County. In 1865 High Point took part in Confederate forces during the American Civil War when many of its citizens fought for Robert E Lee's Confederate army against Union forces under Ulysses S Grant. Many residents served in both armies and many businesses joined either side; some continue to do so today. After Reconstruction ended in America in 1865, many African Americans moved into what had been white neighborhoods while other whites left for various reasons including opportunity or political correctness (see: Disintegration). During World War II, much employment came from defense plants located near High Point which were then closed down due to wartime production limits; however local unemployment rates remained high because few new jobs were available once plant closures happened In late 1945 before US troops pulled out of Europe following World War II there was an influx of refugees fleeing communist control in Southeast Asia who brought their families with them settling mainly around Apex and Greenville counties until they were evicted by Vietnamese authorities later called South Vietnam Refugees during 1969-1975 known as Hillbilly flight massacre also spelt Hopperstown flight massacre

The history of espresso begins with Italian coffee roasters. In the 1860s, Giovanni Battista Beni and his partners opened a small shop in the city of Pisa that sold coffee. They roasted their own beans and used a small pot to make two or three cups of coffee. In 1875, Luigi Galetti opened his first espresso house in Florence. He started off by making one cup of coffee for himself and then selling it to friends and family. Galetti's business grew rapidly and he soon began importing beans from all over Italy. By 1912, Carlo Petrini had opened a cafe in Rome that served espresso drinks made with milk from local cows. Petrini's cafes quickly became popular among Italians and abroad, becoming known as "the best espresso houses in the world."
High Point is a town in Duplin County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 5,521 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Charlotte metropolitan area. The first permanent settler in what is now High Point was David Thomas in 1819. In 1836, John S. Allen purchased land in what is now High Point from the Cherokee Nation and built the first frame house on what would become his farmstead. In 1870, General Alfred Beattie founded Beattie's Hotel on present-day Elm Street near South Boulevard and Cherry Blossom Lane. The hotel stood until 1922 when it was destroyed by a fire that also damaged many other buildings in High Point. In 1911, High Point became one of twelve townships within Duplin County when it was created from parts of two previous counties – Henderson and Rutherford Counties were combined to form Duplin County. Because most farmers only cultivated one crop per year, there were few yards or fields for crops; instead several small shops and stores developed around the main businesses in town center including J&H Barber Shop (now Joe's Barber Shop), Galt Drug Store (later Wertz Drugs), Everson Sawmill (later Peoples Sawmill & Mfg.), Lowry Hardware Co., Mrs Pemberton School House (later Hargrave Schoolhouse), Presbyterian Church/First Baptist Church (now First Methodist Episcopal Church), and Two Hickory Cider Mill properties which formed part of this new township as well as some outlying farms belonging to other landowners who lived within its boundaries but did not settle there permanently until after incorporation intoDuplin County." In 1928 high school students moved into their own purpose-built building on present day Elm Street between South Boulevard and Cherry Blossom Lane; this became known as "The Main" during its early years with over 100 students graduating each year starting in 1929." "HighPoint soon became an important center for education for both adults and children due to its excellent facilities including a library open to all withdenoting one of the earliest circulating libraries west of the Alleghenies," reported historian Don Sturtevant . "Today nearly every weapon used by law enforcement throughoutNorth Carolina can be found at One Hickory Cider Mill because this mill turned out cannonballs for use by Union Forces during the American Civil War." "It should be noted that even though much development took place outside of town limits[], roads still branched off from Main Street northward leading all along rural land until very recently making it easy for people to get around without ever leaving their homes.""
