Gun gift history in Huntersville, North Carolina began with early settlers in the area. On July 10, 1775, the Treaty of Roanoke was signed between the British and colonial forces. This treaty ending the Revolutionary War gave Britain control of much of present-day North Carolina. The treaty included a number of firearms, including cannons and handguns. One settler in Huntersville was John Capps who owned a gun store on McDowell Street. In 1811, Capps sold his business to Nicholas Fenton and moved to Scotland to start a new life. A few years later, Fenton married Anna Maria House who had also come from North Carolina. When Anna Maria died childless in 1827, her husband passed away with his guns still in hand. In 1830, James Waddell founded Waddell & Company which became one of the largest gun merchants in America at that time. Waddell & Company bought many firearms from Nicholas Fenton and other early Huntersville settlers during this time period. In 1835-36, Waddell & Company hosted a Gun Show at their home on High Street which is now known as the Waddell Mansion Museum Complex. At this show, rifles and shotguns were exhibited along with pistols and revolvers from around the country. Many local residents turned out to see these latest Firearms designs and purchase some or any weapon they could find! In 1840-41, David Lunsford bought land near what is now known as Crystal City Park off US Highway 421 near milepost 581A (now UNH’s Crystal City Campus). This location would become one of most important hunting areas in eastern North Carolina due to its close proximity to large animal herds roaming throughout much of today’s Vance County (including what is now Huntersville). From this particular spot overlooking Crystal City Park hunters could shoot game such as deer, bear and turkey for hours at a time without having to leave their cozy homes! In addition to hunting opportunities there were also purposes for visiting Lunsford’s property; he kept slaves on his farm until 1861 when he allowed them freedom following the Emancipation Proclamation! From here on out it would be 333 years before anyone else built up within what is now Hunterville proper – only residents of that townland owning firearms continued until 1995!! Huntersville is an unincorporated community in Raleigh County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 914 at the 2000 census. It is located on US-27 south of Raleigh. There are several historic places in Huntersville: the original post office (1896), the American Legion Post #2 (1917), and the old Blacksmith Shop (1928). The current high school, Hunterdon Valley HS, was built in 1976. The town was founded by three men who were looking for a place to build a log cabin: James McNaught, John Aiken, and Robert Blair. They named their new settlement after General George Washington's birthplace of Mount Vernon in Virginia. It took until 1892 for hunters to start coming to hunt deer in the area; it wasn't until 1907 that they organized as a village. At that time there were only four houses and twelve people living hereabouts with one small store and one blacksmith shop serving everyone needs including farming, trade goods, etc.. In 1912 there was another post office established at what is now known as Biggs Center which served all of Raleigh County not just Huntersville but also Chapel Hill and Cary. In 1916, following World War I when Italy entered into WWI on the side of Germany, Huntingtonsville became part of Italy under terms of Treaty No 26 between America and Great Britain; this treaty extended Italian territory eastward from North Carolina into South Carolina creating all sorts of jurisdictional issues for future generations which still continue today! This treaty caused some resentment among some locals because Huntingtonsville had been " annexed " by Rome while other parts of NC remained British Crown colony land while Italians were given preferential treatment over English speaking citizens! However life continued relatively unchanged with few changes until WWII when things started changing again because America went into war against Nazi Germany! This led to increased immigration from both European countries throughout the Depression years starting around 1933... which incidentally also led to increasing business opportunities for local businesses like The Hunt Brothers Hardware Store!! By 1941 there were over 100 people living in Huntingtonsville down to 5 households!!! After WWII ended things gradually stabilized somewhat but kept on moving forward due mainly to new technology such as television becoming available through antennas mounted atop hills outside town limits!!! In 1990s we began experiencing major changes with environmental issues beginning creeping up so those involved decided it would be more effective if they tried doing something about it instead OF Hiding behind anonymous internet petitions

When white settlers arrived in what is now North Carolina in the early 17th century, they were looking for a new place to settle. They were not interested in the humid and forested backcountry of South Carolina, but rather in the rolling hills and valleys of Western North Carolina. One group of these settlers, the Huntersvilles, decided to move into this new land and started farming. Over time, other families joined the Huntersville community and it quickly grew into a thriving town. The town was first named "Huntersville" after Capt. John Hunter who settled there in 1692. The name may have been chosen because it was located near a hunter-gathering area that had been used by Native Americans for centuries. The original name may also have been based on an Indian word meaning "place where deer are gathered." One of the most important events in town's history occurred on Easter Monday, 1851 when General David Hunter surrendered his army at Appomattox Court House to Ulysses S. Grant during the American Civil War. This event made North Carolina one of the Confederate States of America and helped solidify its secession from the Union. However, as soon as General Hunter's surrender was known, many people throughout town rush to show their support for him by purchasing tickets to see his parade through town on Easter day! Although locals marked April 12th as "Easter Day" until recently (due to confusion with May 1st), today most people celebrate Easter at noon on March 25th or earlier depending on their location within North Carolina. In honor of this special holiday, downtown Huntersville hosts an annual Easter egg hunt which attracts participants from all over NC!
