It is safe to say that Kings Mountain has been home to some of the most active shooters in the Southeast. From its long history of manufacturing firearms, to its location on a naturally-occurring rifle range, Kings mountain has been a haven for those who love nothing more than using their shooting skills for fun and profit. The Hunters Club (now known asKings Mountain Rifle Range) was founded in 1892 by three men who were looking to provide a place where they could shoot together. The first session took place at the old mill on the river, and it quickly became evident that this range was ideal for target practice and training; it had plenty of space and trees to keep shooters warm during winter months. In 1896, an agreement was made between King’s Mountain Rifle Range Society and Armour & blacksmiths shop of Wilmington, North Carolina to lease land off of River Road just outside town. This new range would be called “King’s Mtn Rifle Range”, and it would serve as both a training ground for local residents as well as providinga venue for outdoor shoots throughout the year. The Hunting Club also soon leased land adjacent to River Rd., which served as their shooting range from 1897-1912; this area is now known as Southridge Park! This property would house two ranges: one for shotguns only, which opened in 1907; and another with rifles in 1912 which became known as “the Tower” due to its height (it still stands today!). Through these years, King’s Mtn Rifle Range continues to be one of the most popular shooting venues in the region - both locals and visitors alike enjoy participating inrange events such as skeet/golf tournaments or NRA annual meetings! It is definitely no wonder that these days so many people consider Kings Mtn Rifle Range home - it has always been an amazing placeto shoot!

The Kings Mountain Rifle Club was founded in 1876. The first rifle club in the state of North Carolina was formed at Kings Mountain, and it is still a part of the NRA. There have been many shootings at Kings Mountain, and the rifleclub has always been there to help out.
Kings Mountain is a town in the U.S. state of North Carolina, located on the Catawba River. The population was 9,903 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Greensboro-Winston-Salem metropolitan area. Kings Mountain was founded in 1729 by his father, King George II of Great Britain as a post for him and his courtiers to explore the region between Halifax and Raleigh. In 1775, during the American Revolutionary War, General Howe's army besieged Kings Mountain and forced its surrender; this event is known as "The Battle of Kings Mountain." In 1801, Captain John Sevier sold 8 square miles (20 km2) of what is now Kings Mountain to Colonel James Moore for $1 million dollars. Moore named it Kingsborough after himself and immediately began developing it into a plantation society with white men owning most of the land while African Americans worked primarily in labor gangs or plantations below ground. The first white settler was Equinox Randolph who purchased 324 acres (150 ha) around 1802 from Colonel Moore for $4 per acre ($). Randolph initially built two houses but soon enlarged them to four large ones using local logs he found lying around his property. He also started to plant tobacco on some of his properties which would become one of the most important crops in South Carolina during this time period It wasn't until 1830 that Randolph's son Harnett Randolph finally took over ownership from his father Harnett Randolph continued expanding Kingsborough's boundaries until he acquired 2,844 acres (100 km2) adjacent to present day Winston-Salem in 1840 including almost all present day Greensboro County except that southern portions were included within western Johnston County He also constructed many notable homes such as Roanoke House near today's bypass intersection off Research Boulevard just north of downtown Winston-Salem Kingston Furnace became operational on October 16th 1860 when Confederate forces under General Pemberton burned 300 tons (300 kg) of iron ore mined at Elizabethtown Mines nearby This event marks one point where Union forces managed to break through Confederate lines and intervened militarily against an attempted slave rebellion

King's Mountain is a mountain located in the Pisgah National Forest, North Carolina. It is 1353 feet (441 meters) high and has an area of 9 miles². The mountain was named for King George Washington, who led an expedition up it in 1775. The peak is also one of the highest points in the Appalachian Mountains. The first human settlement at Kings Mountain was by the Cherokee in 1802. In 1819, General Andrew Jackson moved his army from Tennessee to attack what he thought were Cherokee forces at Kings Mountain. Instead, he found only civilian residents of the town of Mount Pleasant on the mountain with cannons and bayonets waiting for him. Jackson burned the town down and took all its citizens prisoner before withdrawing his army back to Tennessee without further damage or loss to the Cherokees. In 1827, Ulysses S. Grant arrived at Kings Mountain with his army as part of a campaign against Robert Ewell Brown had begun that year across much of east Tennessee and north Georgia. AtKingsMountain, Grant met General John Hunt Morgan who offered him shelter while he fought against Brown's forces outside Antioch Hill on July 11th,. Grant refused Morgan's offer because he did not want bloodshed among friends and decided instead to march on Brown himself which resulted in HuntMorgan capturing several thousand men including women and children before finally fleeing into North Carolina where he surrendered on September 14th,. In 1865 Union general James Longstreet advanced upon Raleigh after learning that General Beauregard had evacuated eastern Tennessee for fear that Confederate troops would march south through western North Carolina towards Wilmington followed by Richmond-upon-the-Sea..Longstreet ordered his cavalrymen to charge uphill along King's Mountain Road leading up from Crossville towards Chapel Hill giving away their position only long enough for Confederate artillery shell fire to kill many soldiers before they could retreat again.. however this attack failed when Confederate infantry closed ranks behind cover trees preventing cavalrymen from reaching their objectives; Longstreet withdrew his force under heavy fire back down King's Mtn Road just short of Chapel Hill leading most historians believe that if this engagement had gone successful then Union control over eastern NC would have been severed
