They opened the store on Main Street in a small storefront with just a few beans and started to sell coffee from their own roasting plant. In 2010, they moved to their current location on Jackson Street in Laurinburg and began to roast whole bean coffee. In 2013, they became the first business ever to open up in North Carolina to sell ground coffee online.

The name "LaurinburG" commemorates General James Ewing's effort to develop the land around Laurinburgh into an agricultural center for the eastern seaboard during the early 1800s. Laurinburgh has two churches: First Presbyterian Church and Second Baptist Church which are both open to the public for services on Sundays from 9am-12pm and 1pm-3pm respectively. There are also several businesses including a gas station, convenience store, light truck stop, bank, auto dealership, bar/restaurant and more that support local commerce within walking distance of all residents here!

Laurinburg was founded in 1728 by the Reverend John Laurens and his wife, Susannah. The town was named after Laurens' father, Sir George Laurin. In 1868, Laurinburg became a part of Henderson County, North Carolina. It had a population of only 100 people in 1868 but grew to 1,500 in 1940. Today, Laurinburg is a small community with a population of less than 200 people. Its history is rooted in its location on the Yadkin River and the agricultural production that took place there. The town was first settled by European Americans from eastern Virginia who arrived during the colonial period. Many of these settlers were Methodist missionaries who wanted to establish religious communities among American Indians. In 1728, Reverend John Laurens and his wife, Susannah founded Laurinburg as an Indian trading post on the Yadkin River for white traders looking for Indian goods not available at other settlements on the river. After several years of operation, Laurens moved his family to what is now Henderson County in 1738 due to increasing pressure from Native American attacks against white settlers within their territory. At this time, trade between British America and what is now North Carolina was sparse because of ongoing war between France and Spain over control of Florida (then known as Spanish Florida). This left many Native Americans living near British colonies with little access to valuable resources such as food or slaves which made them vulnerable to attack by either side. In 1868, when Henderson County was created from parts of Davidson and Wake counties (two previous counties), Laurinburg became one of its first residents because it had potential for growth due to its location close to Raleigh and Cary (the two largest cities in the state at that time). At this time it had a population just under 100 people but quickly increased thanks to good land offers and new entrepreneurs attracted by growing industry located nearby such as timber wholesaling/export business operations operated out of Carytowne Warehouse until it closed around 1950s which led directly into today’s Fabric & Flour store across from Bank Of America on Chapel Hill Road
