Each individual would likely own one or two handguns but eventually they multiplication lead to what is now known as “gun culture” in Rocky Mount! During World War II, many residents of Rocky Mount enlisted in military service and were required to provide their personal firearms (which often ended up being shotguns) along with other supplies necessary for soldiering such as ammo! After the war ended, most citizens returned home but some stayed behind because they needed continue manufacturing/manufacturing ammo for their guns!
