At this time, Wilmington was a small town with only a few hundred residents. The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf continued to serve delicious cup of Joe until 1951 when it closed its doors for good. However, it wasn't until 1967 that Wilmington's first espresso bar opened up called "Espresso Zone." This cafe served delicious espresso drinks made by hand from beans that were roasted at their own location right next door to The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. Espresso Zone quickly became well-known in Wilmington for its excellent espresso drinks!

Wilmington is a city in Forsyth County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 961 at the 2010 census. Wilmington is the largest city in north-central NC and part of the Raleigh–Durham metropolitan area. It is located on the mouth of the Dan River which forms the border with Dare County to its east and Person County to its west. The first Europeans to visit Wilmington were traders from England who founded a trading post there in 1698. By 1710, it had become an important port for trade with both Europe and South America. In 1802, Wilmington became capital of Forsyth County when that county was created from portions of Davidson and Orange counties.
