Williston is a small town in North Dakota, United States. The population was 1,362 at the 2010 census. It is the only city in the Cass County School District. The first people to live in what is now Williston were Paleo-Indians who hunted and gathered game near the present-day town site around 12,000 years ago. They were followed by migrating Sioux from South Dakota about 1871. In 1881, US Cavalry Colonel John A. Sutherland laid out a townsite on high ground east of today's town center for his Rancho de la Esperanza family. The name of Sutherland's rancho (ranch) was changed to Williston in honor of General George Armstrong Custer when he died during the Indian Wars in 1887. In 1904, James Wrigley bought 100 acres (40 hectares) of land east of today's downtown for $600 per acre and began to build a cotton gin and mill thereon. By 1915, Wrigley had built a total of six cotton mills in what is now Williston – three revivals and five new machines – which generated over $1 million worth of product each year! A post office was established at Williston on December 3, 1890, by Hiawatha Atherton with the name Ankeny; it was renamed Williston on July 10, 1907 after General William Tecumseh Sherman (1830-1914), then America's most famous general during World War I as Commanding Officer First Army Corps Reserve Forces at Fort Donelson (TN). On July 5th 1907 an Act became effective providing for establishment within Cass County an election office which should be conducted biennially with one day being dedicated thereto as Election Day; this Office was abolished on October 8th 1912 by Act No 715 & Amended Part 2 thereof as part of consolidation process among all Cass County institutions following action taken by Commissioners Maynard Jenson & Claude Carnahan relative thereto under provisions made applicable thereto by Statute 9–2–5(a)(i) et seq.. The post office continued operation until discontinued on May 15th 1951 due to lack of mail volume; however the telegraph service continued until discontinued February 6th 1960 also because there wasn't enough space inside buildings old equipment still lying around unused! In 1916 local banker Leland Stanford founded Northern Pacific Railroad through Cass County linking Rapid City (& upper Great Plains) with Chicago (& Midwest). Cotton production increased rapidly due to efficient transportation methods offered by Northern Pacific so much so that demand exceeded supply - prices shot up 50%. This created huge wealth disparities across rural vs urban areas resulting in class warfare characterized later as "the great American experiment". Prices eventually stabilized but not before wreaking havoc upon agriculture turning many farmers into millionaires while impoverishing others leading some northerners such as Rockefeller into buying up large portions of southern Rural America thereby creating concentrationism (See: 'Rockefeller Radius'). After several failed attempts including purchasing entire sections via Purchase Power News articles headlined "Williston Cement Plant To Open Next Year" Sunnyvale engineer Harry Fink arrived unannounced one morning late November 1920 just ahead of schedule to begin construction...Fink’s arrival caused quite a stir since he had never worked outside California before and locals did not know how things would work hereabouts...He quickly explained that they were building a plant to produce cement…This plant would effect far more than just adding another layer to the already heavy workload faced by local authorities…It would be their main industry and provide jobs for many years….So we can rest assured that if something went wrong we would have someone right here who could take careof things

The first mention of coffee can be found in Chinese texts from around 1000 BC. The drink was thought to be an antidote to sickness and was often drunk as a cure-all during times of illness or famine. Coffee beans were mentioned in Greek manuscripts from around 476 AD. The first European references to coffee came from Italy in 1492 AD when Giovanni Battista Vigna wrote about “the Elixir of Life” which he claimed could cure any ailment with just one cup of coffee. In 1847, Frenchman Francois Pierre Champion discovered caffeine (a Sumatran beetle) while studying palm oil trees in Java. He named the bean after his discovery, but it wasn’t until 1870 that Dutchman Pieter Bruegel did something similar with another Sumatran beetle, Cafetalium esculentum (now called Burundi Coffee). This gave us our first step into treating diseases using plants instead of drugs! Caffeine was eventually isolated and used as an additive to make different types of drinks like tea, cocoa, vodka and cordials etc., but it wasn’t until 1912 that Frenchman Secondat de Laplace developed what is now known as espresso – a smooth drink made by adding hot water to ground cafestol (a product from vanilla beans). This gave birth to our current day morning routine where we start off with some espresso before going out into the world!
