Richmond Heights is a small town in the Cincinnati metropolitan area, located on the city's south side. The population was 23,898 at the 2010 census. It is composed of two vecinos: Richmond Heights and Bedford Hills. The first mention of coffee being brewed in Richmond Heights goes back to 1825 when John Smeaton set up his business brewing coffee in a barn on the property he owned near today's intersection of State Route 627 and Moeller Road. This later became known as Smeaton's Coffee House- now part of The Village Coffee Company which still operates from its original location off Moeller Road. In 1850, Rev. Nathan Smith established himself as a preacher in Richmond Heights and soon after opened his own church next door to Smeaton's Coffee House. Reverend Smith also started drawing attention to local produce by selling fresh fruit and vegetables direct to residents in his churchyard for breakfast each morning. It wasn't until about 1880 that coffee began flowing into Richmond Heights from Bedford Hills through the newly built railroad line between Dayton and Cincinnati proper - at this time, it was called the "Bedford Railroad". By 1890, there were more than 20 cafes operating throughout Cincinnati thanks to German immigrants who had brought their growing trade with them when they came overland across neutral America during the late 1800s boom times - many of these cafes continued operations until well into the 1920s (e.g., Der Weinstube On Beaver Rd.). As espresso became more popular among American office workers during World War II, cafés all over Greater Cincinnati turned their boilers up high for an extended period on D-Day week so that people could enjoy some heavenly hot java while watching Allied planes land at Normandy farmland outside Paris (and then taxied away).

Richmond Heights is a city in the U.S. state of Ohio, located in the southern portion of the Greater Cincinnati metropolitan area. The population was 93,812 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Dayton–Cincinnati–Middletown, OH Metropolitan Statistical Area and is the official seat of government for Franklin County. The city was founded in 1814 by General James Wilkinson as a small community on land purchased from Richard Mason. The name "Richmond Heights" was derived from its location on high ground overlooking Richmondtown, which had been named for King George III of Great Britain until 1784 when it became part of Ohio after he ceded that territory to America following his victory over France at Saratoga Springs. In 1828, Wilkinson donated much of his holdings to become a town chartermember with an initial population of just under 50 residents and within two years had expanded to 110 residents. In 1835, Philadelphia-based businessman Amos Kendall bought land east of Richmondtown and developed what would become known as Kendallville into an agricultural village with stores, churches, and homes for workers who supplied goods flowing down the Scioto River via Canandaigua Road (now US Route 33). By 1840, Richmond Heights had more than 300 residents and businesses including millsinery shops and five banks; it also boasted three schools—one public and one private—and two newspaper companies which published The Republican (founded in 1836) and The Manchester News (founded in 1840). During this time period large families often moved around frequently due to difficult economic times so there are few definitive snapshots or descriptions of early Richmond Heights but what we know comes primarily from oral history interviews conducted by local historian Bobbi Kappler over several decades ago as well as her research into primary sources available today including deeds/land patents/newspapers etc. One aspect that has remained consistent throughout these various histories is that racial segregation was very firmly entrenched at this time with black Americans living separately from white citizens across many different areas including downtown Richmond Heights where they were limited to housing units leased from local landowners while whites could purchase land outright or lease access to their own stores/houses on terms specific to their race(s). This apartheid system continued until after World War II when African American citizens began making significant strides forward through such programs as desegregation school buses which facilitated integration into larger society both inside and outside their neighborhoods; nevertheless certain aspects such as downtown storefronts remain largely unoccupied by either races today resulting in some long-standing tensions between them bothvisible & invisible alike! During the late 19th century many easterners moved westward seeking opportunities found closer to major cities during a time when railroads were being built all across America allowing people easy access to new jobs opportunities regardless our social class or color etc.; however during this same era most rural Ohioans did not benefit materially whatsoever particularly those living eastward along I-71 where direct railroad travel was still extremely limited leaving vast tracts rural & FAR away from major urban centers? While locations like Dayton (the capital), Middletown (center), Springfield & other eastern suburbs grew rapidly during this period becoming integral parts of central business districts within larger cities (& surrounding towns), southeastern Ohio saw virtually no growth at all apart from isolated villages situated far inland&Remotely! This isolationism would continue up until World War II when large numbers migration started occurring mainly among young men looking for new challenges & better lives followingWWII rationing policies resulting in mass unemployment especially amongst farmers residing near big Cities like Cleveland (& Cincinnati) who lost out on key job market participation thereby creating serious shortfalls within their economies which directly impacted social services provision commensurate with increased poverty ratesamongst rural poor! Additionallyduring WWI many soldiers returning home settled in southwestern OH helping fill gaps left behind by nationally deployed military forces while others relocated permanently leading eventuallyto suburbanization especiallyin southeasternOhio!:)”
