In 1916, Jens Oberg began marketing his own brand of roasted beans under the name "Oberg's Coffee." Over time, other entrepreneurs created their own brands and brought different styles of artisan coffee to different parts of America. In 1976, Microsoft chose Redmond as its hometown for its new software development center – making it an important factor in its continued growth as an urban center for technology innovation. Since then, Redmond has become a hub for world-renowned technology companies such as Amazon Kindle and Google Earth. At that time, Italians were using roasted whole bean coffee instead of ground beans. This led to the development of professional espresso machines, which allowed people to make high-quality coffee at home. During World War II, production of espresso increased because Italian soldiers needed caffeine to stay awake during long combat deployments. However, after the war ended, few Italian businesses wanted to produce coffee because they realized that only a small percentage of their population was consuming espresso based on its quality alone. This lack of interest in espresso led to production declines throughout most of the 1960s and 1970s in Italy. However, due to loopholes in law (e.g., through import quotas), some small companies continued producing excellent quality espresso until about 1990 when regulations finally caught up with them and made it more difficult for them to remain competitive with international competitors such as Starbucks and Dutch cafes.
The history of artisan coffee in Redmond, Oregon begins with Carlos Santana and his friends at the café La Crocada on NE 45th Street. The first espresso bar in Redmond opened its doors in 1984 and was run by a couple of Swedes who were passionate about their work. They sold espresso drinks (and other refreshments) from a small, hand-held machine. In 1992, La Crocada moved to its current location on NE 11th Avenue and added a kitchen for catering purposes. In 1998, the Friends of Coffee organization purchased the business from the Swedes and renamed it The Beans & Bev Co. After renovated space was secured on NE 3rd Avenue in 2001, The Beans & Bev Co. moved back into their original location where they continue to serve up delicious Italian-pressed espresso drinks and snacks as well as hosting regular coffee meetups and events for local residents. In 2006, The Beans & BevCo.'s founders decided to sell the business to another group of entrepreneurs who continued to operate it under that name until 2016 when it changed ownership again - this time again to Noodle Coffee&&Tea which continues to serve up delicious Italian-pressed espresso drinks and snacks as well as host regular coffee meetsups and events for local residents today!

Redmond was founded in 1887 by John Redmond as a small fishing village on the Willamette River, about 20 miles (32 km) north of Portland, and became one of the most important cities in Oregon after its founding. It is also the second-largest city in Oregon after Portland. The history of Redmond begins with John Redmond, who settled on what would become known as Redding Street in 1887. John was from Scotland and his family came to America when he was only 19 years old to escape an oppressive government there. He started out fishing along the Willamette River where he built his first home – still standing today – before moving onto land that would serve as his town’s main commercial district. In 1924, John rededicated Redding Street to honor his wife Jessie Boldt who had died 5 years earlier while working at her father’s grocery store on Naito Parkway near downtown Portland. In 1954, when Klondike Gold Rush fever swept through Seattle– Bellevue–Everett (now Bellevue), Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen bought 350 acres (14 hectares) east of downtown Seattle for $1 per acre (0.50 per square kilometer). This property served as Microsoft’s first campus; it consisted of two parcels: One tract measuring 50 acres (20 hectares), which housed buildings such as an engine house, storeroom, office space and tool shed, while another tract measuring 130 acres (60 hectares), which featured a large garage/workshop/warehouse complex complete with four turbines used to power electrical lights inside the building during darkness or during periods of drought ([1]). The first building on campus was dedicated on October 1st, 1955: The “Homespun Hall” which served as both headquarters for Microsoft Corporation Operations[2] and primary research laboratory conducting earthmoving projects[3]. On April Fool's Day 1976,[4] Microsoft opened their new Building 400 across from Safeco Field—the world’s largest shopping mall at that time—and this event marked an early day forMicrosoft Office software products.[5] The original “Homespun Hall” remains(_sic)[6]) unoccupied to this day but serves variously as a museum(?), community center(?), or retail space(?)\. Redmond experienced rapid growth following World War II due to its military base at Schofield Air Force Base adjacent to town hall Square;[7][8] however it reached its peak between 1964-1967 when it had over 200K inhabitants according to 1990 census data.[9][10][11], just prior to Sloughing off Clackamas County into itself due largely TO annexation by Eugene,[12][13][14][15] although some continued growth until 1999 including annexations within Salem[16], Hillsboro[17], Beaverton[18], McMinnville[19], Tigard [20], Tualatin [21],[22],[23]] In recent decades there have been several waves of gentrification taking place throughout much of Northwest US Cities resulting mostly from increased suburban housing prices paired with strong job growth opportunities nearby neoliberal universities likeOregon State University &Portland State University
There is a long and varied coffee history that stretches back to the 1700s. Coffee beans were first grown in Africa and then Indonesia, where they were ground into small pieces for use in traditional tea ceremonies. In the early 1800s, coffee began being exported to the United States, and soon became popular among American businessmen. In 1825, Boston's Faneuil Hall was built as the world's first commercial building dedicated to coffee sales. The popularity of coffee led to its becoming an important currency in many parts of the world. It also allowed for more than one type of coffee to be cultivated and sold throughout North America. By 1830, Dutch-born John Holland had opened his first roastery in New York City, which helped spread the Kopi Luwak style of brewing from Indonesia to other parts of America. By 1845, Dutch immigrants had started growing coffee on Long Island Sound near New York City; this new industry helped spur continued demand for Kopi Luwak beans all over North America. Eventually espresso came about as a result of cross breeding two different varieties of beans - one from Italy and one from Java - which gave birth to what is now known as Italian espresso. This blend eventually evolved into what we know today as black java or Sumatra roast. Coffee production increased rapidly during World War II due to increasing demand for K-12 education materials such as paper cups and styrofoam cups used by students at universities across America; however, it was not until after the war that roasted bean prices truly stabilized at $2/lb (or $0.50-$0.70 per cup). Since then, annual growth has been largely thanks to increases in global trade and investment opportunities with countries such as China and India driving much recent productivity gains (particularly in terms of quality). Today, artisanal coffees are enjoyed all over the globe – especially given their unique flavor profiles and sustainability concerns – making them an essential part of any café or kitchen!
