Today, there are over ninety-five sworn officers working for GPD including eighteen deputies who rotate through different departments within GPD during different periods of day or night duty as needed or requested; four detectives who work undercover; two bomb squads; three K-9 units; one SWAT team; sixteen motorcycles (eleven used for patrols only); six dogs (four service animals); fifteen troopers from neighboring trooper organizations such as Pennsylvania State Police Troopers Association (PSPA), York County Sheriff’s Office Trooper Corps (YCSO), Allegheny County Sheriff's Office Troopers Association (ACSO) – all with dual authority on local streets in addition to their duties as sworn police officers assigned to GPD; four uniformed sergeants from other law enforcement agencies including state troopers from Schuylkill County PA., Philadelphia Police Department Sergeant's Benevolent Association (PBA) members from South Philadelphia PD.,and two civilian security guards/officers hired by GPD who provide unarmed security on certain occasions outside of regular business hours while typically carrying firearms only

Greensburg is a town in Butler County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 3,836 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Pittsburgh metropolitan area. The first Europeans to visit Greensburg were Captain John Smith and his men in 1608. They encountered a Native American village on the Susquehanna River and took somepies from the people. English traders also visited Greensburg during this time. In 1795, Captain John Fetterman passed through Greensburg on his way to Fort Pitt in western Pennsylvania. He noted that there was a small Indian village near where he came ashore and that "the place hath been much frequented by white people since its foundation". In 1814, Benjamin Butler built Fort Butler on land he had purchased from the Iroquois Confederacy for $5,000. The fort served as an outpost against French traders and Indians in what is now Butler County. In 1815, Colonel George Armstrong Custer attacked Fort Butler while trying to cross the river into Canada near present-day Clearfield Township. Aftermath of the battle left many dead and Custer was captured by British forces who took him back to England where he was tried for treason and sentenced to death but commuted to life imprisonment at Derby Prison before being released in 1823. In 1830, following the Panic of 1829 which caused a world economic depression, President James K., Polk established a moratorium on new westward expansion until after Congress determined that newly minted legal tender notes could not be used as currency in Kansas Territory because it would give rise to fraudulent practices among speculators buying such notes without having any real basis for them other than taking advantage of honest investors everywhere else who did not have such issues with their own paper money system). Consequently, all gold coins (not just silver) ceased being circulated throughout most of America save for Miami Beach Florida which continued holding large amounts of gold coinage until 1861 when it became unconstitutional under federal law prohibiting states from issuing more than $20 worth of certified legal tender Notes per person). As result of this event known as "Polk's Act", Greenstown's only circulating medium remained greenbacks
