Johnstown is a small town in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania and it is the seat of Butler County. The population was 5,552 at the 2010 census. It lies in the Lehigh Valley region and its elevation is 6,491 feet (1,829 m). Johnstown was founded by English colonists in 1795 as a mill town on the Susquehanna River, which formed its commercial center. The first post office opened in 1802. Johnstown grew rapidly during World War II due to wartime production of military munitions and other metals required for war production; however, after the war ended Johnstown began to decline as manufacturing shifted to larger metropolitan areas. In 2000, Johnstown annexed neighboring boroughs of Northumberland and South Bethlehem Township to form a new city with a population of over 100,000 people. Johnstown has experienced economic stagnation since 2000 as manufacturing relocated away from the city; however, there are plans underway by Mayor Bob McDonough to revive downtown development and increase local hiring in order to attract new businesses back into town. In addition, current efforts by McDonough include developing an urban farm that will provide fresh produce for local restaurants and grocery stores as well as creating new public spaces such as a plaza overlooking Main Street that will be used for arts events or concerts.

She serves now as Vice Commander Naval Operations Western Pacific Branch based out of Yokosuka Marine Corps Base . 5) In 1992, Commodore Rickover delivered his keynote address marking 20 years since his installation as Commandant General United States Naval Academy midshipmen corps program succeeding Daniel Kahanamoku who had held office since 1982.. Commodore Rickover also gave several medals including one gold medal for design excellence honoring Superintendent Harry Sperry...In 2003 Commodore Rickover presented Ulysses S Grant with a bronze bust 400 feet high sculpted by GEORGE ZIMMERMAN
