Gun gift history in Munhall, Pennsylvania dates back to 1857 when inventor Levi Smith and his father founded the first store west of the Allegheny Mountains, called Smith’s Gun Shop. The shop was located on Munhall's Main Street and sold firearms both new and used. In 1875, the shop moved to its current location on Beaver Street. At that time, the store was one of the largest gun dealers in Western Pennsylvania. From there, Smith’s G&D Store grew into a leading retailer of firearms and ammunition in Eastern Pennsylvania and around the Northeast. On November 1st, 1984, Smith’s G&D Store closed its doors for good after more than 50 years of business. Today, the store is still in operation as a museum dedicated to Levi Smith with special exhibits on display about his life and work.

Munhall is a small town in DuPage County, Illinois, United States. The population was 1,898 at the 2010 census. Munhall is part of the Chicago-Naperville-Elgin Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first settlers in what is now Munhall were German immigrants who arrived from Hanover, Germany in 1814. They set up a farm on the current site of town in 1832 and named it after their home village of Halle (now Halle an der Saale, Germany). In 1841, two brothers by the name of Miller built a log cabin on the present site of town and began to grow corn and wheat there. In 1852 they built a more permanent structure which still stands today - the Miller House. In 1865 Abraham Sibley came to America and founded Sibley City near where Munhall now sits. He bought 5 acres hereabouts for $600 and started to build a sawmill which he named "Sibley City Mill". The mill continued to be run until 1901 when it was destroyed by fire. In 1915 John Forster established his paper company in what is now downtown Munhall with land he had bought along Main Street from Abraham Sibley. Forster paper products continued production until 1978 when all operations were transferred to Peoria, Illinois due to competition from globalization.. In 1925 Wm Goudreau purchasedland east of downtown from Abraham Sibley for $10 000 dollars making him one of the largest landowners in Munhall history south of Chicago or north of Rockford (il). Goudreau operated a grocery store next door to his ranch house until 1957 when he sold it to Harry Jaffe who operated it as Jaffe's Grocery for many years before selling it again in 1998 to John Fuhrman who operates it as Fuhrmans Pizza today.. A post office called "Munhall" was established in 1903., but was discontinued operation because there wasn't enough mail volume being sent hereto prevent its closure..

Munhall is a small town in Fayette County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 1,521 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Pittsburgh metropolitan area. The Munhall Iron and Coal Company was founded in 1827 by John Munhall and his brother James Munhall. The company produced iron and coal with family labor until 1943 when it became part of the Carnegie Steel Corporation. In 1948, the company merged with Bethlehem Steel to form National Steel Corporation. In 2002, National Steel Corporation merged with Allis-Chalmers to become Alcoa Incorporated. In 1847, John Munhall built a log cabin on what is now Summit Street inmunhall for his wife Anna and themselves as their home until they could get a more permanent home. They also had two children: William (born 1848) and Mary Ann (born 1850). Williams farmstead stood on what is now Park Avenue between Fifth Street and Sixth Street for over seventy years until it was demolished in 1924 because of its age and condition; however, the foundations remain today evidence that there once was a large village hereabouts
