The Pennsylvania Army National Guard has a rich history dating back to the Revolutionary War. The organization first appeared in 1775 when several militia companies were raised by Patriot settlers in what is now Yeadon, Pennsylvania. In 1812, the patriot General George Washington ordered the creation of an army detachment in Allegheny County and Yeadon became its hub. Over time, the army detachment grew into a full-fledged regiment and Yeadon became its home garrison. During World War I, units from the state guard participated in many battles including Donelson and Auerbach. After World War I ended, the state guard continued to be used for military purposes until it was disbanded in 1921. However, it wasn’t until 1947 that an act was passed calling for the establishment of an armory within the county government which would become known as Camp Alpha (later Fort Mifflin). This event marked not only the beginning of army gifts being given to residents of Yeadon but also a new era forArmy National Guard members stationed here. Today, there are still soldiers from both world wars living among us and they continue to make a positive impact on our community by providing services such as educational opportunities and military support functions. Yeadon was a small town in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 1,651 at the 2010 census. The post office at Yeadon was first established in 1836 and discontinued in 1961. The town of Yeadon is named after George Yeakel, the founder of what is now Lancaster County. He came to this area from Bucks County and started a blacksmith shop here in 1824. In 1837, he donated land to make up the town site. According to the 2000 Census there were 1,579 people living in Yeadon Twp., which included 992 households out of a total of 1,898 inhabited properties; 81% were white (of any race), 9% were black or African American, and 11% were other races. Hispanic or Latino of any race constituted 3% of the population. In terms of age distribution: 71% were under the age of 18; 2% were between the ages of 18 and 24; 13% were 25 to 44; 27% were 45 to 64; and 23% were 65 years old or older. The median age was 42 years old; for every 100 females there was 101 male equivalents. There were 88 housing units at an average density of 10/100 square miles (27/km²). The racial makeup was 99%. White

In 113 BC, Emperor Augustus created a separate corps of cavalry known as Legio IV Victrix. This unit was made up of veterans from other legions and it became one of Rome’s most formidable forces. In 36 BC, Emperor Nero added a second legion to the Roman army, called Legio Vespasianus. This unit was made up of veteran soldiers from Britain and other parts of Europe. It became one of Rome’s most powerful units and played an important role in conflicts such as the Social War and Civil War in England. In 27 BC, Emperor Constantine granted military titles to individuals who had served in his army or navy. These titles included senatorhus (Senator), imperator (Emperor), tribune (Tribune), majorca (Majorca) and cognomen (Cognomen). These titles conferred upon these individuals special privileges and responsibilities within the empire. As emperor grew more popular, he began to rely more on his troops for support rather than relying solely on taxes from his subjects. This led to increased troop morale which helped improve military performance during wars while also increasing imperial power domestically.
Yeadon is a small town located in Erie County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 3,521 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Erie-Lackawanna Metropolitan Statistical Area. Yeadon is known for its mills and its Plainview Brewery, which has been producing beer since 1852. The first mill in Yeadon was built by George Washington Carpenter in 1824. The second mill was built by John Armstrong in 1830. In 1851, the three mills were combined to form the Plainview Brewery Company and became one of the largest brewers in America. The brewery produced more than 20 million gallons of beer a year until it closed in 1978. Today, the remains of the company are still operating as an independent business with a employees of over 100 people producing beers from six breweries around Erie County. The community that grew up around Yeadon's mills is also responsible for developing some important aspects of local history such as its namesake (plain view) river valley and abundant farms which supported large populations during those times. One such example is that there are still many farmsteads intact today that date back to before World War II when most Germans had left for North America due to persecution and other reasons; however, industry took over quickly and much of these structures were destroyed or abandoned during this time.
The town of Yeadon was founded in 1795 by George yeoman farmers. The first post office was established in 1810, and the town became a borough in 1848. In 1865, the Borough of Allegheny County was formed from portions of the township and Yeadon became its seat. The population increased rapidly after World War II as new housing developments were built in the area.
