The first permanent European settlement in what is now Yeadon, Pennsylvania was founded by the French in 1681. The area that is now Yeadon was part of Westmoreland County until 1738, when it became part of York County. On October 14, 1795, York County was divided into two parts, One portion became Philadelphia County and the other portion became Cumberland County. In 1812, Cumberland County was merged with Philadelphia County to form Allegheny County. On November 3, 1815, Allegheny County was divided into three parts: Northumberland Township on the north side and East Liverpool on the east side were formed into Lawrence Township while South Morris Township took in the south side of Northumberland Township. In 1828 Lawrence Township was annexed by Pittsburgh and its residents chose to remain there rather than joining Pittsburgh or become part of new Lawrence Township which would have been created from scratch. In 1846 Northumberland Township detached from Lawrence township and incorporated as its own entity once again becoming one of the most heavily populated areas in western Pennsylvania Yeadon began as a small community located along the Susquehanna River between Lebanon Junction and Clarksburg on land owned by John Addison and his son-in-law George Washington Washington (1758 - 1850). John Addison had come to America with his father after they won an important battle at Saratoga against British forces in 1777. He developed land near what is now Yeadon for farming purposes before moving his family to this site in 1800 when he donated some 400 acres (160 hectares) of land including what is today central Yeadon to George Washington Washington Hospital for their research efforts surrounding diseases such as yellow fever and malaria. The community prospered because it had access to good water supply, fertile soil, timberlands available for lumbering and easy transportation connections through Susquehanna Valley via trails such as the present day PA Route 622 which ran through town center . Theells Mills mill complex served not only local mills but also those located far away by railroads like Gettysburg , Erie , Harrisburg etc., making this era known as “the golden age” for agriculture due to advances made in transportation technology . Unfortunately during this time period many small towns across western Pennsylvania went out of business due largely to technological advancements brought about by Yankee entrepreneurs who saw little economic value in rural mini-towns
The navy has always been a dominant force in the world. From its earliest days, the navy has been responsible for many of the world’s most significant technological advances. The navy is also known for its Deployed Gift History. The navy deployed gift history began with the Revolutionary War. The nation’s first military campaign was fought against hated enemies, the French and their Indian allies. America needed both weapons and munitions to fight this war effectively, so it was crucial that these goods be brought back home quickly and efficiently. This was done through convoy routes called “the Great Western Road”. In 1777-78, during the American Revolution, British forces invaded America and captured Philadelphia. The city became a battleground between British forces and American patriots. Many items transported back home were used in this conflict including cannons, ammunition, supplies and even women and children who had to carry heavy loads on their heads! During World War II, Navy personnel took part in many of the most important campaigns in history such as Operation Overlord (1944), which led to Nazi Germany’s defeat; Operation Neptune’s Spear (1995), which resulted in Russia being driven from Afghanistan;Operation Enduring Freedom (2001-2006), which resulted in bin Laden being killed;and Operation Iraqi Freedom (2003-2009). In all cases Navy personnel played an essential role by carrying out dangerous missions behind enemy lines or providing logistical support for ground troops. During these conflicts they often faced difficult conditions on deployments such as extreme cold or hostile environments where food could not be procured or medical supplies were limited. Today's Department of Defense spends an estimated $500 billion each year on defense equipment purchases alone! That's more than double what it spent just 10 years ago! One reason why DOD continues to invest so much money into technology is because our enemies are constantly evolving - they have become more sophisticated and ever changing! While there are still many challenges we must face - like Russian interference in U.S elections - DOD knows that our technology will help us overcome them at any time!

Yeadon is a small town located in Berks County, Pennsylvania, United States. Yeadon was founded by John and Sarah Funk in 1781. The population of Yeadon peaked at over 1,000 in the early 1800s but has since declined to around 100 individuals. The first settler in what is now Yeadon was John Funk who arrived in 1781. He built a log cabin on the banks of the Susquehanna River. John and his wifeSarah had six children: Isaac (1782-1859), Anna (1784-1867), Johnathon (1786-1868), Martha (1787-1869), and Pollyanna (1800- 1802). Sarah died soon after giving birth to their sixth child, Pollyanna. John Funk's only daughter married George Washington Richardson in 1824 and they moved to Canonsburg, Pennsylvania where she became a schoolteacher. George Washington Richardson also owned property in Yeadon which he used for farming and grazing purposes until his death in 1873. In 1834, James Kline settled near West Branch creek which later became part of Yeadon Township when that township was created from parts of Huntingdon Township and Northumberland Township on November 3, 1888. James Kline did some heavy logging during his lifetime so much so that it is said that “the logs still stand thirty feet high” north of the creek bed today! Kline also formed one of the earliest businesses here; "Kline’s Lumber Yard" opened its doors on December 4th, 1830 with store shelves filled with lumber from rural Pennsylvania forests brought down by horse teams over snow drifts! The business thrived until 1865 when it closed due to competition from larger lumberyards being erected along Route 11 east of Philadelphia! In 1905 Gertrude Atherton bought "Kline’s Lumber Yard" from Mr. Kline's widow for $1 million dollars! Atherton kept the business open as an advertising agency before closing it again for good three years later due to budget cuts!! In 1951 Gertrude Atherton donated all her assets including "KLINE'S LUMBER yard" to local community college for use as a library!! Today "YEARDON LIBRARY & COMMUNITY COLLEGE", located across First Street from White Sands Casino offers more than 12 million items online including books!, video games!, music!), maps!", pictures!", documents!"
The area now known as Yeadon was first settled by the Penn family in 1714. The community was named for John Yeadon, a Welsh trader and member of the Pennsylvania Assembly who served from 1727 to 1729. Yeadon grew rapidly during the early 1800s, thanks to development of the canal system and its impact on trade between York County and points beyond. In 1813, Yeadon became one of four townships in York County created from portions of Cumberland Township. In 1838, Yeadon lost its status as a township when it merged with what is now Uniontown Township. The population of Yeadon increased rapidly during World War II, due in part to the influx of soldiers stationed in nearby Camp Butler. After the war ended, the population decreased as many residents came home to live within their own communities. However, there has been a recent uptick in population growth thanks to new development in neighboring Uniontown Township and Erie County.
