The Bellaire Air Force Base gift history can be traced back to World War II when the United States Flying Training Command (USFTC) established a bomber squadron at Bellaire in order to train newly-minted fighter pilots. The unit was redesignated as the Eighth Air Force in 1944 and became operational in March of that year. Throughout the war, Eighth Air Force flew strategic bombers such as the B-29 Superfortress, which could reach speeds of Mach 2. During hostilities, Ninth Air Force was activated and placed under Eighth AF control. However, on September 1, 1945, Ninth AF was disbanded and its members turned over to First AF. In 1948, the USAF activated ThirdAF at Bellaire and Tenth AF moved from Iuka Field to Buena Park AFB north of Houston. This left only one active USAF airbase in Texas – Bellaire AFB. In 1951, an additional USAF Wing was activated at Bellaire with the objective of providing logistical support for Tactical Air Command (TAC) fighters stationed in South Korea; however this assignment ultimately proved unsuccessful due to TAC's impending withdrawal from Korea in 1955. By 1957, all combat units at Bellaire had been replaced by civilian employees or had withdrawn from service altogether; however activation ofactivated RAF squadrons continued until 1961 when all RAF aircraft were transferred to USAAir Forces storage facilities located near Lubbock TX pending their ultimate disposition during peacetime operations against enemy forces overseas). On July 20th 1962Bellaires first Tactical Fighter Squadron (TFS), F-100D “Eagle” began flying missions domestically against proliferating communist targets inside the United States without any sort of foreign support or assistance; this program later came to be known as "Operation Ranch Hand" due to the high number of American lives lost while engaging communist targets within our own airspace!Operationally TFS Eagle flew duties primarily within Southwest Texas combat airspace area conducting strike patrols throughout much of Operation Ranch Hand season ending on October 14th 1962 flown some 10800 miles! In 1963 TFS Eagle transitioned into primaryflight operation with Republic F-105C/D 'Bear' jet aircraft operating outfitted with electronic warfare suite pods(EWS) for jamming North Korean radar transmissions!As part of comprehensive testing these EWS systems were successfully used during multiple successful deployments throughout 1965 - 1966Season resulting in numerous hardware failures causing many losses for both operators and planes!!By 1967 it was clear that electronic warfare pod systems would become critical technology standard for air forces aroundthe worldrequiring significant upgrades including installation on Republic A-9H 'Lancer' jets operated by FirstAFHawkeye teammembers!!! finally achieving IOC Jan 1969!!!!!!!This paper will continue another 12 years highlighting various aspects associated with bellair's rich military aviation history culminating with their current role as a global forward operating base providing aerial refueling services especially valuable during Operation Neptune Spear campaign against ISIS affiliate Islamic State ISIL)!

Bellaire is a city in Harris County, Texas, United States. The population was 453 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Houston–The Woodlands–Sugar Land metropolitan area. The name "Bellaire" comes from Spanish explorer Gabriel López de la Hoz's 1824 expedition that found an oil well in what is now Bellaire. The first settlers in what is now Bellaire were Mexicans who came overland from Mexico in 1836. A town named San Antonio de Vallecas (founded by Mexican colonists) was located near present-day Bellaire on a bluff above the Brazos River. In 1839, General Sam Houston established a wagon train stop called New Austin south of present-day Houston and agreed to give land to Mexican immigrants if they built a town there named after him –Houston would become known as San Antonio del Rio Grande (the Rio Grande Valley). Many of these settlers moved into what is now Bellaire when it was designated as part of New Austin. In 1846, General Sam Houston ordered Major James Reese to establish Fort Bend County west of present day Houston on dry ground between Buffalo Bayou and Harmon Creek because he believed that Texans were being forced eastward by Ulysses S Grant's military campaigns against Mexico. Reese built Fort Bend County's first courthouse and jail in what is now downtown Bellaire; later renamed for then-Governor Nicholls (1853-1858), this structure served as the county seat until 1899 when Galveston became the county seat again following annexation byHouston. In 1860, John Kirby Smith founded Kirbyville on Buffalo Bayou north of present day Kirbyville; this settlement grew steadily until it had a population of 1,500 by 1870 due to irrigation schemes developed around its bayou water supply. When Dallas was founded in 1872, Kirbyville joined it as one of its original cities; today it remains an agricultural community with about 350 residents located just outside downtown Dallas.) When Hurricane Ike hit Texas on September 12th 2008, much damage was done to homes and businesses throughout Harris County including Tiffin Township (just east of current day Pasadena) which lost all but 2 percent or its homes within 8 hours after landfall! Unfortunately not everyone benefited from Ike’s wrath however: many people living near Rice University went without power or food while students staged sit-ins at their institutions demanding relief supplies such as food and water! Rice University reeled under 50% loss in student enrollment with no hope for restoration before finally getting back up and running thanks largely to donations from friends and family

In 1961, the USAF donated a Boeing 747 aircraft as part of an exchange program between the United States and India. From 1962 through 1966, the AAF sent gifts to South Africa in commemoration of their independence from British rule. The AFB also donated a Douglas DC-8 airliner in 1969 as part of Operation Commemorative Service for Vietnam Veterans (OCSV). In 1974, a McDonnell Douglas DC-9 became the first military plane ever to be gifted to the FAA when it was delivered as part of Operation Just For Fun (OIF). In 1978, the AAF gifted two Beechcraft 1900s airplanes to Japan’s JAL Airlines in commemoration of their role in World War II. The following year saw another donation from Japan when they became one of three countries to receive two McDonnell Douglas MD-80 jets as part ofOperation Thank you America! After years of being stored away at Lackland AFB TX, these jets were finally delivered to JAL on October 3rd 2001 for use by their Japanese Airways subsidiary JAL New Japan Airlines passenger airline division... These jets are now used by JAL international flights outfitted with noise cancelling headphones for long haul flights."

Bellaire, Texas is a small town in Dallas County, Texas, United States. The population was 5,479 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex. The town was founded in 1872 by men from Arkansas who had come to the area looking for land to ranch and grow crops. The name "Bellaire" comes from a Chisholm Trail settlement that was located near what is now Bellaire. The first store in Bellaire was built on Main Street in 1875 by John Denton and his brother-in-law Austin Goodrich. The store sold groceries, feed and equipment for cattle and horses, as well as some supplies for local farmers. A hotel opened on Commerce Street in 1902 which served as a social center for the community until it burned down in 1928. In 1907, George Waddell bought 120 acres (50 ha) of land east of Bellaire from James Hogg III for $10 per acre ($140 total). Waddell began to develop the land into what is now known as Waddell Field Park. He built an agricultural fairground on the park which featured exhibits about agriculture and livestock production. The fairgrounds were destroyed by a tornado in 1935 but were rebuilt and reopened as a recreational area several years later. In 1957, Waddell donated 100 acres (40 ha) of his land to help create Blue Lake Park adjacent to Waddell Field Park. In 1969, Mayor Robert Fenton dedicated two blocks of Main Street between Central Avenue and Houston Boulevard as "Robert Fenton Boulevard" in honor of Mayor Fenton's father who had died earlier that year at age 89 years old.. In 1990s there were several controversies surrounding allegations made against then-Mayor Royce Lamberth including sexual harassment allegations made against him by various womenfolk; however no charges were ever filed against him or any other officials associated with his administration during this time frame
