Bellaire is a city in Harris County, Texas, United States. The population was 5,811 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Harris County. Bellaire was founded in 1872 by Major John Sweeny and Captain George Childs as part of a cattle drive from Wichita Falls to Fort Worth. The first coffee shop in Bellaire opened on Main Street in 1878. The popularity of coffee led to the opening of more shops throughout the city during the late 1800s and into the early 1900s. Coffee became an important factor in downtown business district development and helped to make Bellaire one of the most prosperous cities in Texas during that time period. During World War II, coffee supplies were rationed which led to some businesses closing their doors but also lead to other businesses starting up providing coffee for troops stationed here. In 1957, Starbucks opened its first location in Bellaire with plans to provide local militaries and civilians with fresh java every day for soldiers on base; this proved successful and Starbucks has continued expansions into surrounding areas ever since. Bellaire is a small town located in Waller County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,639 at the 2010 census. Bellaire is home to the Bellaire Independent School District and it is also the location of the bell factory. The first settler in what would become Bellaire was James A. Williamson in 1873. The community name may be derived from "Belle" or "Belle Isle". At the time of its incorporation as a municipality on November 7, 1907, Belle Isle had a total population of 132 people. The first post office in Bellaire opened on December 6, 1906. It served for five years until it moved to McKinney on May 2, 1908. The current post office building was dedicated on October 11, 1959. In 1911 local businessmen Jules Leduc and John Russel donated land for a new high school which would serve as both an academy and college/university from then until 1978 when it became part of Texas Tech University System. In 1951-1952 the original school building burned down; however this did not stop damage to that property resulting from Hurricane Allen which struck Texas on September 16th that year (the day before Christmas). On May 3rd 1968 voters approved annexation by the City of McKinney making Bellaire an official city with its own government and mayor who was also its first officer On July 1st 1969 annexation by Dallas increased its population size to 930 citizens but never reached full capacity due to conflict betweenDallas authorities over annexing smaller municipalities without their consent while still keeping control over municipal services such as fire protection and trash collection

Java City became one of the most important towns in Indonesia because it had a relationship with European traders who bought coffee from Indonesian farmers and then sold it back to the farmers at a higher price than they could find elsewhere in Southeast Asia (Freedman). In 1886, Italian immigrants founded Rome’s biggest coffee plantation called Parma Coffee Works. The Italians soon realized that they could make even more money by selling roasted beans rather than ground them. In 1899, Swiss entrepreneurs established Zurich’s first roasting company called Eidgenossenkaffe eGmbH (). The company became very successful and eventually set up several production plants all over Switzerland (). Bellaire is a small town in Hunt County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,487 at the 2010 census. It is the seat of Hunt County. The Bellaire post office was established on July 20, 1875, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1966. The first settler in what is now Bellaire was George Capps who started a ranch near present-day Bosque Lake. He named his new settlement after his mother's birthplace, Belle Isle Parish, Nova Scotia. In 1876 Johnnie Doddridge built a log cabin on theranch called "Doddridge's Fort" just east of today's central business district of Bellaire. Doddridge became an early pioneer in Hunt County and later served as township treasurer and justice of the peace. In 1902 he founded what would become the city of Huntsville and donated land for its incorporation into Hunt County; Bellaire follows suit three years later.

In 1848, after Mexican independence was declared, a war broke out between Mexico and the United States over this issue. The Battle of San Jacinto helped solidify American control over Texas. Settlement continued until World War II when most of the population left for military service or other reasons.
