Gun gift history in Boerne, Texas began with the purchase of a revolver from E.J. Smith and Sons on October 17, 1911. The revolver was bought for $5 by Nelson A. Alcorn, son of Pappy Alcorn, who lived in Boerne at the time. The gun has been passed down through the Alcorn family and currently resides in the collection of Boerne-based Museum of History and Industry (MOHI). On December 7, 1927, Hilda Mae Withers donated her rifle to MOHI as part of the museum’s inaugural gift collection. Mrs. Withers had purchased her rifle during World War I and kept it until her death in 1959. At that time, she bequeathed all firearms owned by her to MOHI including both rifles and handguns. The first handgun donation to MOHI came on July 14th, 1934 when Drury Loyd donated his pistol to the museum as part of its Pistol Collection exhibit honoring our nation's Poet Laureate Louis Ludlow Harper Jr.. The pistol is now displayed at the museum’s front desk adjacent to other notable gifts from Loyd such as his former home bulldozed for firewood purposes which he later turned into a successful art gallery and restaurant called “Loyd’s Art Gallery & Restaurant” today! In 1957, James Fenton donated his .22 caliber revolver to BOERNE MUSEUM OF HISTORY AND INDUSTRY - also known as "Museum Of History And Industry" after James Fenton himself! This unique firearm represents an important milestone in Pistol Gift history because it is one of only two pistols ever given away completely free from any manufacturer or distributor! It is also one of just four handguns ever given away totally unmodified! In fact this particular firearm was even personally gifted by Mr Fenton to Museum Director/CEO Don Anderson along with a memorandum dated March 4th 1978 thanking him for making this possible! 1) On May 24th 2004 - Gunnery Sergeant John Sullenger made an exceptional gift toMOHAI when he presented a brand new Ruger 10x21mm pistol chambered in .50BMG (the same type used by Special Ops units) which had just been recovered from Niger during Operation Anaconda 2) On November 1st 2008 - Sgt Leroy Hendrickson presented us with a beautiful piece of American Infantry weaponry that has resided within our collections since WWII - a Remington Model 870 Custom Rifle chambered in 5 rounds per magazine !! This weapon represented an extremely significant donation not only because it was originally acquired direct from Spec Ops Forces Command responsible for awarding each individual unit these weapons but also because it is considered serial number 2193!!

Boerne, Texas is a city in Midland County, Texas, United States. The population was 713 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Dallas–Fort Worth metropolitan area. The history of Boerne goes back to 1836 when pioneer John Wesley Powell and his party arrived here on horseback from Arkansas. Boerne was platted in 1871 by George W. White after surveys were made of the area around present-day Boerne by Major General James Hogg and Captain Arthur Rankin while they were commandant and lieutenant colonel, respectively, of San Antonio's First Infantry Regiment under Mexican War veteran Cosme de la Vega. A post office was established at Boerne in 1872, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1907. In 1896 the first school opened for students in what is now downtown Boerne. A courthouse and jail followed shortly thereafter. In 1909 Houston denominated the town "Boisene" but residents voted to rename it to "Boerne" after then-vice president Grover Cleveland because he had helped promote its establishment as a municipal center within Houston's limits during his term as mayor from 1897 to 1901 (the same year that Old Main High School opened). It wasn't until 1932 that a full sized water tower appeared on Market Street; however this structure only served as an antenna for local radio broadcasts through decades until much later when a 925 MHz microwave relay station became operational on top of it (now known as McAllister Park Towers) which still provides coverage today beyond downtown Boern

Boerne is a city in the US state of Texas, located in the Grayson County seat. The population was 30,394 at the 2010 census. It is the sixth-largest city in Texas and second-largest municipality within Grayson County after Dallas. Boerne was founded by Mormon settlers in 1881 as a small town on an agricultural plateau near present-day Brownsville. By 1912, it had become one of the largest cities in Texas with a population of 100,000. In 1925, Boerne became part of the new state of Texas and its government shifted from being based in Houston to being based in Austin. In 1970, it merged with neighboring Tomball to form the current metropolitan area with a population of over 200,000 people. The history of Boerne can be traced back to 1881 when Mormon settlers arrived in what is now Grayson County from Utah and started farming land along an agricultural plateau that overlooked present day Brownsville. They named their new community "Boerne". The town grew rapidly due to its location and strategic location for commerce and transportation; it was adjacent to both Baylor University (then known as Sam Houston State) and Fort Worth Railway Station which made it easy for goods to be transported between these two cities. By 1912, Boerne had become one of southern Texans' most populous cities due to its thriving economy which included manufacturing businesses such as shoe factories and automobiles; however during World War I boearmedes saw some significant declines due to federal military presence nearby including Camp Bowie on White Sands Missile Range which destroyed many homes and businesses within downtown Boerne. However during World War II boearmedes experienced significant growth thanks to munitions production at nearby La Posada Ammunition Plant which helped support wartime demand for ammunition throughout much of Texas The post-war years were tough for boeveredes however with technological advances having replaced manual labor jobs other than those related directly to munitions production; this led à large number of traditional middle class citizens leaving for various reasons such as high cost of living or difficult working conditions inside munitions plants themselves rather than outside where they could find better paying jobs In 1970, when Austin became independent from Houston following Texan secession from Mexico there was talk among officials about merging Brazoria County into Austin so that all Travis County jurisdictions would have equal representation under newly created state government but no action was taken until 1974 when Brazoria County decided notto secede from Austin Eventually though because Of increasing economic development outside universities or other major employment centers eastward migration began resulting in more suburban development outside core city boundaries while downtown experienced little change overall until around 2000s when gentrification began taking hold
