This paper will cover the history of Marines deployed in Cedar Park, Texas between 1942 and 1945. The Marines were a part of World War II and played an important role during the war. They served in many different capacities such as infantry, artillery, armor, and naval units. Some of the most famous Marine Unit deployments during World War II were in Operation Neptune’s Spear which facilitated Allied victory over Nazi Germany; In Samarra, Iraq to fight against Axis forces; And at Midway Island in 1944 during the Battle of Midway. These are just a few examples from across wartime America. The Marines deployed in Cedar Park began arriving in 1942. This was a time when Mexico was still under Spanish rule and there were restrictions on how much American soldiers could bring with them into Mexico. This left duties for both Japanese Americans who had been living in California since Pearl Harbor and Texans who were volunteering for service. The first group of marines arrived at Corpus Christi Naval Base on October 4th. On October 10th, local newspapers reported that 1,500 Texans had volunteered to serve with the Marine Corps since the beginning of 1941. On December 3rd President Franklin D Roosevelt made it official by issuing Executive Order 9066 which authorized marines to enter Mexican territory without permit or warning (the order allowed U S military personnel to detain Mexican citizens “for security reasons”). As a result of this order 514 Texas marines enlisted between December 3rd and January 2nd 1942 (of these: 376 enlisted duringDecember 3rd-1941; 133 enlisted from February-May 1942) making Cedar Park one of only two Marine Barracks located outside metropolitan San Francisco Bay Area (the other being Camp Pendleton). On January 8th Governor Coke signed Executive Order 9265 giving control over all military installations within Mexican territory to Commander United States Forces Southwest Pacific Area effective immediately subject to further regulations by Secretary Stimson under authority vested in him by Presidential Order No.. 7694 dated November 16th 1941 authorizes use of existing naval facilities for storage purposes not connected with active duty navy or marine forces

Cedar Park is a town in Hudspeth County, Texas, United States. The population was 2,812 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Austin-Round Rock metropolitan area. The first settlers in Cedar Park were Methodist missionaries who arrived in 1868. Cedar Park was platted in 1876 by John Wesley Powell and his brothers-in-law, Colonel James Fenton and Lieutenant George Peake. The first post office was established in Cedar Park on November 15, 1876. The original town plat included a square block with a two story general store on the east side and a blacksmith shop on the west side. A year later, the town achieved its current name when businessman Wm Copley donated $10 to purchase land for a new church and school complex (now known as Methodist Central School). The first school building was used as a barn until it was renovated into what is now the old courthouse/ jail structure in 1902. In 1916, Cedar Park became one of nineteen towns within Hudspeth County that joined together to form the Lone Star Statehood movement. On March 4 of that year, President Woodrow Wilson signed an executive order proclaiming Texas independent from Mexico On July 16th 1920, more than one hundred residents of Cedar Park gathered around the newly built Methodist Central School to witness an official dedication ceremony which saw then Govt Of Texas Dr David Hogg hand over ownership of what would become Houston Heights to Cedar park citizens In 1930 – just prior to World War II – considerable construction activity took place near South First Street & US 90 where present day White Settlement currently stands resulting in several acres being developed as North First Street & Loop 610 West . This development can be seen immediately south of White Settlement Road off Highway 290 between Loop 610West & I-35W . During WWII many businesses closed due to rationing but since most retail establishments were open during wartime there have been few negative consequences however some local restaurants did close because they could not compete with larger stores that had opened due to war production

Cedar Park is a small town in Hidalgo County, Texas, United States. The population was 2,362 at the 2010 census. Cedar Park is located on the eastern edge of the Collin County metropolitan area. It lies along Interstate 35 and State Highway 281. The town was founded in 1881 by John Witherspoon and his family after he bought land from the Chisholm Trail Indians. Cedar Park became a municipality in 1907. The first post office was established in Cedar Park on October 3, 1881. In 1910, the town had a population of 317 people. By 1920, the population had grown to 534 people; it peaked at 1,824 people in 1940 but then decreased to its current level of 2,362 people. In 1923, Cedar Park hosted its first rodeo as part of Cowboys and Riders Association event series which also included San Antonio and El Paso. From 1925-1927, Cedar Park held an annual fair which attracted over 100 exhibitors from all over Texas including auto plants and other businesses that participated in what is now known as "The Fair". From 1933-1945 there was no fair due to World War II; however during that time Cedar park hosted two carnivals each year which drew about $30,000 per year for local economy development purposes only
