In 1951, Headquarters for the Coast Guard District of Texas was relocated to Bellefonte and changed its name to Customs House again. In 1966, Headquarters for the Coastal Zone Defense Command (CZDC) was established in Bellefonte and changed its name to Customs House again. In 1984, HQ for Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) was established in Bellefonte and changed its name to Customs House also. Today, there are three active coast guard stations within Conroe: Headquarters for Homeland Security Investigations; Customs House which is used by both HSI and local police departments; and Bellefonte which is used by both law enforcement agencies as well as transient residents. All three stations share a common website where users can access information about gifts given by members of the coast guard community during various occasions such as functions or events. As part of this change it lost its status as a village but regained it after becoming part of the new Houston metropolitan area. In 1990 conroe annexed neighboring FM 2918 which gave it more than 2 square miles (5 km2) of additional land along the riverbank - making it one of only two townships in Midland County with such an annexation ability. Today, many manufacturing plants have moved out or closed down since 2001 when consolidation among companies lead to increased competition throughout North America at all levels - whether that be low-wage Employment at Amazon warehouses or higher paying jobs at BASF SE organization headquarters across town in downtown Houston

In 2006, the Coast Guard celebrated its centenary with a series of ceremonies including an exhibit at Madison Square Garden and a birthday party for then-Secretary Chuck Hagel. Today, the Coast Guard operates more than 12,000 vessels with a staff of over 9,000 people. They are responsible for guarding America’s coastline from marine traffic, enforcing U.S. trade regulations, conducting coastal safety campaigns andresponding to emergencies such as Hurricane Sandy in 2012.

On May 3, 1924, the final annexation of Houston made Conroe an official city with its own mayor and council members as well as its own fire department andpolice force. On January 10th, 1951 the Brazos River Bridge over I-10Was destroyed by a flood that caused $5 million in damage to both cities infrastructure including bridges and homes
